Elanor the receptionist has had zero compassion and is very rude everytime we have been to this hospital. We presented with chest pains this time and she sent us away to do a covid test, came back negative then she says no doctor here can help! TERRIBLE PUBLIC SERVICE.

Very disappointing experience! My mother who has dementia and requires constant care was in a respite bed in Harden hospital nursing home. I was in the process of moving from Wagga to Cootamundra and at the time it was a welcome relief knowing she was being looked after and I could focus on our move to our new home in Cootamundra. I was recovering from an accident which left me temporarily disabled. One star is for the few caring nurses I came in contact with and showed empathy towards my situation. Others were not so caring...exactly the opposite. Unprofessional and down right rude. Judgemental...Communication between these staff members didn't exist. (I even thought at one stage of leaving my mother there permanently as a bed had become available...I had a bad feeling about this something wasn't right )... and on chatting to my mother about this and hearing the longing in her voice to come home I made the decision to take her home early.I spoke to a nurse the previous day letting her know I would be picking mum up the next day. I was told she would be ready for when I arrived (clothes and medication). Mum was in the residents lounge having lunch when I arrived and everything seemed okay. A nurse approached me in an angry manner telling me I need to see the office manager to sort things out. I asked what things needed to be sorted out...thought I was in the twilight zone...our conversation became heated...other nursers milled around and said their bit. I felt like I was in a schoolyard being bullied. All this happened in front of other residents. I asked quite a few times is it about the account why did I need to see the office manager? What was the problem? All this nurse kept repeating to me is I need to see the person in the office. (Very confusing!) Not a very nice experience.I haven't been in contact with the nursing home since that day (account has been paid!) and don't want any further contact. Trying to forget the whole horrible experience! To this day I still don't understand why I was treated in this manner.
