Our company purchased a large quantity of Rakumba pendants. We have had a number of fittings fail. We repaired them at our considerable cost. Rakumba do not honor their warranty nor could I get a Certificate of Approval, Compliance or Suitability . Go elsewhere.

When we built our beautiful Metricon home in 2017 I was looking for lighting that would provide a 'wow factor' in our kitchen/dining areas. I was fortunate to be recommended to Michael from Rakumba. I had no idea about lighting and what would suit the house, so I left it all up to Michael.Michael suggested a hand finished brass linear pendant light to sit above the kitchen island, and a City hall pendant light (1m in diameter) to hang above our large round dinner table. They are both absolutely stunning and suit our house perfectly!Michael certainly knows his products and I'm glad I left it up to him to decide (which is quite hard for me because I am very particular!). Everyone that comes into the house comments on how stunning the lights are, and we haven't had any problems with them in 3 years (the photos I have attached don't do them justice but they're just beautiful!).If you're looking for quality lights and a wow factor you must try Rakumba. I had looked at lots of other options but to be honest there's nothing quite like Rakumba, in my opinion. Well worth the investment.Thanks Michael and Rakumba, great customer service!

Rakumba's parts and customer service are top notch. The light bar we installed looks amazing. We'll certainly buy from them again.

I wanted a quote for 4 x round cylinder/ drum pendants 250Di x 600H, each with a 'polished chrome' type plastic shade faced internally, as each was going into a deep bulkhead. I sent a CAD drawing with specifications and photos of what I was after. They then asked me for an approximate budget and timeframe. I provided the latter, but queried the former... i.e. is it possible to quote without a budget, and the client can then decide if the price is right? Despite the surplus of information initially provided, they said the reason they asked for a budget beforehand was due to the 'design effort' required in quoting, and said typically for these custom projects a $20,000 minimum was required. I'll let you do the maths for what each pendant would subsequently cost!Given I wasn't reinventing the wheel of pendant design, I couldn't understand the high price. They also said the approximate timeframe I provided of 8 weeks was not possible and that a basic fabric shade (I'm assuming that includes plastic polished chrome) was not suitable for this application. Somehow I just don't think they wanted the job, but I wished they'd said so initially... genuinely a waste of my time!PS: There are alternatives like Satelight and About Space
