The service is great here. I must say its more personal as its locally owned. Its not a franchise like other game shops. And the guys at the shop are always so friendly and happy to help out. Even helped out my mother who knows nothing about the gaming culture. She was very happy with the service and respect the guys gave her. Also love the range of retro and collectibles they have to offer. Overall this is my shop of choice when it comes to gaming and pop culture items. 5 stars.

I love this store. A little something for everyone and probably the best prices for a gaming store, plus the guy who runs it is wonderful! This is my backpack that I got a few weeks ago... love it!!

Definitely would drive into good games in Newcastle then to go to this store literally 10 minutes away does not know what they're talking about couldn't answer basic questions too much hassle

Love the wide variety of old games and gaming related products but some pricing seems off. $70 for a game that the case is ripped and disc that is covered in scratches. Couldn’t tell me if it was actually going to work or not and any other enquiries were answered with I don’t know, you would probably know more than me. Not expecting someone to know everything but couldn’t even answer basic questions and didn’t seem interested in helping. Very disappointing customer service and will be thinking twice before making an hour trip back again.

It's generally hard to find a local gaming store and I think it's sure as heck hard to run one, but with this store, management knows what it's doing.Playhard mostly has what you want/need. They have a good selection of multiple consoles and goods as well as a generous selection of TCG boosters, structures and box packs.Customer service (If you can call it that. It's a small shop.) is great. If you don't know what you're looking for, or you can't find it anywhere else, you'll find it here.As a general tip if you're looking for Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon or Magic the gathering cards and you don't know where to go, try going here. They supply $2 card packs that can help you build or boost your collections/decks.That being said, and this isn't exclusive to PG, you may find some stuff with older consoles and games a bit more expensive then you'd expect. Older consoles and the like, well, think of them like gaming history. They cost more because they are worth more.But, I do have good news, they aren't viciously expensive. The stuff is what you'd typically expect.Plus, I'd snatch up that Gameboy Advance. I don't know about you, but $60 is a steal!9/10Disclaimer: This is purely my opinion. Take my words for what they're worth and with your own judgement. I'm more optimistic than most people so my verdicts can be skewed.

Great selection of games at reasonable prices. The staff member was helpful and even tested retro console in front of me before going ahead with purchase. Will definitely be back!
