Norah Head Care Community

Excellent care was given to my husband during his last three weeks of his life at Opal Norah Head. The nurses were very caring and professional. I could not fault anything at all. I also have since met another lady who has her father in another wing of the home and she says she also cannot fault them and says he is far better now than when he first arrived there . He is in his 90's. Having had my husband in another local facility in the area and finding it well below standard I took him home before another hospital trip ending up at your facility. The nurses ? there could not read English to follow the directions to use his CPAP machine I was so relieved when we finally ended up at Norah Head.Thankyou so much Norah Head and Opal care.

This facility is appalling it neglected my father they contributed to his early death couldn’t eat given a plastic spoon to eat a meat dish neglected his health had a huge infection and ulcers in his mouth which we requested he see the dentist but they took so long several week before he could see a dentist despite several requests he got septicaemia which spread through his body and was dead shortly after the most uncaring despicable care I have ever witnessed stay away if you have loved ones pure neglect so sad and I’m a registered nurse I unfortunately had no choice tried to get h out except my half sister got guardianship over him don’t trust NSW guard ship or any nursing home I regret this everyday to my dying dad my beautiful intelligent wonderful father died in a demeaning ruthless soulless place I hate myself that I didn’t try better but was a upward battle against the tribunal and a ruthless half sister who resented my lovely dad May he Rest In Peace

I havent nothing but praise for sharon and the staff at norah head my mum has been in respite twice there my mum loved it there my family and would love to thank all the staff there for taking good care of her they are wonderful and so caring

I cannot praise Opal Norah Head highly enough. Dad was there for 5 weeks between hospital and permanent care. He would still be there if it was closer to the family. The staff are happy, caring and professional. It’s like a big happy family. Dad blossomed mentally interacting with the staff, residents, visitors and especially the activities. Highly recommend.
