This was a refreshing change, particularly after past experiences had left us cautious. Nobby Kitchens pledges to offer this insurance at the outset - a critical feature which, regrettably, several firms neglect, in spite of its legal importance. Amid a volatile market filled with large-scale home builders facing bankruptcy, Nobby's strategy offers ample reassurance. They've truly set the bar high for the industry.

Worst experience in my life dealing with this company, it took a formal complaint lodgement with NSW Fair Trading to actually get a response and to complete the work. Short version - read every other one star review and believe it.For a tiny expansion of a small two bedroom unit kitchen it took 7 months to complete from contact date, when it was nearly ready for installation after six months only half of the kitchen turned up, panels were the wrong colour, missing bench tops, missing shelves and handles and then another months delay waiting for the other half to turn up and to be installed. This kitchen extension was managed remotely as it is a rental property and this interrupted my tenant multiple times.....lucky he is such a nice guy.Regardless of COVID delays and complications they had disgraceful communication and business process, wrong parts and specifications, didn't provide final drawings as per requests and as they committed to, missing parts, rework, continual chasing from my end with limited response and fobbed off/ignored to the point of lodging a formal complaint with NSW Fair Trading.I have seen photos which look OK from a distance and I will be inspecting closely when I am down there at the end of the year and will update this review on workmanship/install quality then.I have been in property development for over 20 years and this is the worst experience in my life. Promise I'm not being a Karren:)Its your money but I would highly recommend to go elsewhere and do some good research before engagement.Update: there is a warranty issue with the bench top and the way it is sealed to the bench and guess what, after multiple emails and requests it’s not remedied until I posted this review. The company then reached out and apologised, stated they understood that they had some staffing issues and then they did repair the fault. The manager was apologetic and understood the frustration and appeared to be putting effort into repairing their process however, due to past experience and the delays with this repair my review based on my experience stands.

This is the second time we worked with Nobby’s on a new kitchen. Our first Nobby’s kitchen was done in 2016, and the quality and service were great. At that point we couldn’t have recommended them highly enough. However, in January 2020, we started the instal of our second Nobby’s kitchen and our experience has been terrible. From almost the beginning there was miscommunication and hold ups. When the cabinets were put in, we found several dents, bubbles in the coating, chips, scuffs, gaps in joints, etc. Additionally, the installation was messy in several places with the boards roughly cut and sloppy touch-up paint was used to cover imperfections. Furthermore, Nobby’s cabinet supplier has made changes to their materials and manufacturing that have cheapened the look and overall quality of the product.We understand that things can come up, but we have had a lot of trouble reaching our project manager to address these issues. It was only after we posted a Google review with photos about 8 months ago that we heard back. We were asked to remove our review, which we did in good faith, as we hoped to work with Nobby’s directly to solve our issues. A couple cabinet doors were replaced, but several issues (many of the same ones) remain. We’ve contacted our project manager each month and each month are told the issues will be fixed within a couple weeks. This routine has been going on now for the better part of the year -- we were last promised our issues would be resolved by mid-October and have heard nothing since. We previously contacted the Nobby’s Kotara showroom and the head office in Sydney, who were also unresponsive, so this problem goes well beyond our project manager unfortunately. With so many other great, innovative kitchen companies out there, it’s best to avoid Nobby’s.

We went with Nobby's as we were sold on the project management and checking of quality of work being carried out by their trades. This has certainly not been our experience.Four weeks in we are still: missing cupboard doors, had have leaking taps which have damaged the shelves in the island bench, there is electrical work which another electrician on site said was not great quality, one end of the island bench has been cut too short, the other has drill marks inside it, cupboard supportive legs which do not touch reach the floor to support benches, joined cupboard which are still not together, and cupboards in which the wrong hinges were used. We were also left with a trench in the middle of the kitchen which required extensive chasing of the project manager to get rectified.We have contacted our project manager and the office multiple times who either don't respond to emails or require excessive chasing. They were certainly not the cheapest but we have unfortunately not experienced the positive experiences others have by using them. I cannot recommend.UpdateWe contacted one of the NSW managers who made the Project Manager come out on site and contact us. Many promises were made about improvements but the very next day we were let down again as what was promised had not been acted on. The General Manager has been helpful, but local store project management has not improved at allTo rectify the work the island bench needed complete removal and replacement. The sink was not sealed properly and water has leaked into the bench as a result and wrecked the benching. The concrete under the island bench needed jackhammering up as the plumbing and electrical was not to code. When the replacement was installed the wrong panels were sent which required more waiting time.Splash-back has been installed which had to be resealed on three separate visits as was not done correctly.Project Manager does not keep a comprehensive list of outstanding jobs, we constantly have to remind and update as we are updated with the wrong information. Emails go weeks without being read. Very frustrating.Today 06-07-22 is week 14 of our kitchen install with some jobs still outstanding. My request months ago about a formal complaint about our service have not been addressed or responded to. I would love the owner to contact me to explore our appalling experience.

Absolutely disgraceful service from Nobby Kitchens Newcastle. They came out and designed a nice kitchen, promised us a certain date to which we agreed on and paid the deposit. From then it began. We had to continually chase them up. They would never contact us. We had to argue with them to get our check measure done, and then again to book the job in to start. My wife and I took numerous mornings and afternoons off work to meet Nobby kitchen representatives and they would not turn up on agreed times.The appliances got lost for a number of day's. The cabinetry turned up in dribs and drabs. Some cabinetry took weeks to turn up.The installers never turned up when they were supposed to, and it was an argument to have them come on the second day they were booked for. When the installers arrived they confirmed they were never booked for the job and they were only doing Nobby Kitchens a favour by turning up. They also told us they were no longer working for nobbys because they were always turning up to disgruntled customers and continuously had poor communication from Nobby Kitchens.Our Sinks and tapware went missing for a number of days, and there was no urgency to locate them.We are currently months on from the promised start date and are still waiting on completion. Nobby Kitchens Newcastle seem to have very minimal care, extremely poor customer service and communication skills. They continuously blame the mistakes on there co workers or other trades.I would never recommend Nobby Kitchens to anyone. I regret not taking this case to fair trading a number of weeks ago.The whole process has been nothing but painful from the start.

My first ever bad Google review but it has been way too long not to say something. 10 months since our install started and still waiting for this kitchen to be complete after numerous delays and never a word unless I call and nag. The delays started the moment we paid up 100% which is required before the job begins. Never again. Everyone has been friendly to deal with and the hardware is good quality, but the amount of stress trying to get this kitchen done is not what I paid for. Damage to our ensuite from the demolition in July last year that still has not been dealt with. I can han handle delays but not the lack of communication or any clear plan as to when this kitchen will be done. John Hall happy to take a call any day of the week.

The designer's 3D renderings were fantastic, aiding our visualization of the kitchen. A showroom visit is indispensable, with color consultants guiding through finish, appliance, and accessory selection. Being an 80-year-old reputable brand, we're thrilled with our Nobby kitchen.

We recently just had our beautiful kitchen done with Nobby’s. From the moment we were looked after in the show room, met with the designer Leah, and all the installation and tradies started on their expertise for each component we have been so happy and impressed. Leah particularly paid beautiful attention to detail and was always available to help us think of other options or ideas. The plumbers, electricians and builders were all lovely people who did an amazing job. Special mention to Rob the tiler who was not only amazing at his job, but such a lovely man to have around. I have been heavily pregnant through this whole renovation and am very grateful my house was treated with such respect and care. Couldn’t recommend Nobby’s highly enough.Thank you so much :)
