The Cockburn Ice Arena is an awesome place to go. My son loved the ice bikes too. Don't forget to wear thick socks and a jacket because it gets pretty cold after a while.

Very cute place, smaller compared to other ice areas but none the less fun. Their basic equipment kinda sucks but if you upgrade or have your own it won't be an issue.

My daughter chose iceskating as a sport to address homeschool PE requirements. I thought it would be a term thing only. 4 years later she is addicted and absolutely loves it. The staff are extremely supportive and her coach is fantastic. My daughter started off as a very anxious little 5yr old but now she cannot wait to put her skates on each week. I do not skate but I am always welcomed to just sit and watch.

Good fun for the family. Take thick socks and wear warm clothes. For $10 (+$10 deposit) you can hire a kid's skating aid that you can either push whilst they sit on it like a ride or they can push whilst using it to maintain balance. Good for learning confidence. Similar to rollerblading, though I find that easier to learn. It would be nice if they changed the skating direction occasionally - everyone gets one side dominant in turning. Can't practise the other way!

Good fun! We went during school holidays so was pretty busy. Unfortunately they ran out of hires for the stabilisers- so would recommend coming early if you have little ones who need the hire. All in all the staff were lovely and we had a great day.

In the past three months I have been to this place around five times. The ice skating arena is well maintained. The ice is always dry and smooth. The cafe offers good choices for snacks and lunches.However, I am giving a 3 starts, as I believe at the reception is where the ice skating experience starts. Unfortunately, some of the ladies that work at the counter lack the social skills and/or the training in order to offer a friendly welcoming service, some of them do not even respond to your greetings and or even smile/look at you when you talk to them.Thanks

It was a very quiet Monday, which is actually nice, but it takes a while until we get a staff member to let us in. The ice was smooth and the rink was spacious. It's recommended to check the time on the website before you go there because one session is 2 hours. The only regret is that we did't get the comfy skates so hubby got blisters, but I was alright. Overall we're happy with the experience .

Nice place to spend few hours with family. If it’s your first visit better to hire a seal and take the platinum skates, more comfortable for the feet. You may need a few visits before getting a complete hang of it. Alternatively few folks mentioned they have taken lessons and were skating like pros now.
