Kingpin Canberra - Bowling Alley, Arcade Games & Events Venue

Title: Utterly Disappointing Experience at Kingpin BowlingI am usually not the type to write reviews, but my experience at Kingpin Bowling was so disheartening that I felt compelled to share my thoughts. I genuinely hoped for an enjoyable time with friends and family, but what we got was nothing short of a disaster. The lack of attention to our orders and overall service left us frustrated and disappointed, which is why I'm giving them a one-star rating.To start with, our food and coffee order was severely delayed. The staff did not bring it until we had to ask them about it, which was frustrating, considering we were already done bowling. The whole point of ordering food and beverages was to enjoy them during our game, but that clearly did not happen.When the food finally arrived, it was not even what we had ordered. The errors in our order were not minor, and it was evident that the staff had not paid attention to our requests. One particularly appalling example was when they brought out an egg with a chux cleaning rag underneath it. This was not only unappetizing but also raised serious concerns about hygiene and cleanliness in the establishment.The overall atmosphere and customer service left a lot to be desired. The staff seemed disorganized and not particularly interested in ensuring that we had a pleasant experience. In fact, it felt like we were an inconvenience to them. This is not what I expect when I choose to spend my hard-earned money at an entertainment venue.To sum up, our visit to Kingpin Bowling was a total letdown. The delayed and incorrect food orders, coupled with the indifferent customer service and questionable hygiene practices, made for an experience that I would not wish upon anyone. If you are considering a fun night out bowling, I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. Kingpin Bowling clearly needs to step up their game in terms of service and customer satisfaction.

I really appreciate Stefan's professionalism and work ethic. He was very efficient in organizing and accommodating our requests promptly for our office EOFY party.Also, shout out to all the staff that made it awesome! Thank you!

I previously rated this 5 stars, now I think 3 at the most.The service has definitely dropped but the false advertising they have continued for over a year now is ridiculous.This instance it's the cocktails. They advertise the $18 espresso martini but they 'will not make it' - words from bar staff. You can only get the royal espresso martini $24 ( it has a piece of toffee....)I brought this up as they falsely advertise and the response I got was 'yeh, that needs to be changed but hasn't'.This place needs to sort it out as this isn't the first time they advertise something but don't provide!

Unfortunately we didn’t have a great experience doing our first escape room here. We did it as a family for my sons birthday. We got the final room and got no response from them for the last 20mins when the kids were asking for a hint. This meant they lost interest and didn’t really enjoy the experience. Wasn’t what we were looking for as the first time doing an escape room. The room set up and challenges were well done. I would recommend it, just hopefully you don’t need clues or get better service from the staff then we did.

Here as a kids party guest.Lots of fun- kids enjoyed bowling. Nice how the lanes are separate from other parties.Really good variety of games ranging from traditional driving and shooting to more physical axe throwing and basketball connect 4. Even has virtual reality games.Several karaoke booths around that look pretty good. Party host was lovely although the food was quite late and the kids were getting very hungry. Food was good when it arrived.Well stocked bar for adults and can order from the menu at your table via qr code.Toilets were quite clean. Lots of staff on the floor. All in all a good experience!Unfortunately marking down as the virtual reality was included but noone told the kids they should go on there so they didn't actually play during that time.Staff didn't care or fix it.

Pallavi is a wonderful host. She made sure that our son Moses and his friends had a great time . Foods were served promptly and all requests during the party were granted.Kingpin is highly recommended for a stress free party.So YES, you definitely made our day!!!

Great venue lots of entertainment for the entire family for a night out. It is noisy but that’s because it’s a fun place to be for the kids. Good service provided for the customers from the friendly staff. Offering a good menu selection, cocktails, beer etc prior the movies or just to simply hang out - A very pleasant chilled fun environment for everyone to relax and unwind.

Awful customer service, my two and five year olds kids were excited to play the minions soccer game. After tapping our card the machine indicated to call attendant. We notified an attendant who came over had a look and said she’d call a technician. We waited 15 min with crying kids who really wanted to play this game. No one attended. We decided to leave and spoke with staff at reception about this and was told they can only just credit us back what was charged to our card. Our card was swiped by the staff member and told the credits should appear within 24 hours. No credits appeared after a week. Appalling customer service, staff need better training!

As a mum of three boys we love King Pin. Today we had an extra impressive experience where the staff went above and beyond. We had booked an escape room which we loved. Our eldest is a bit anxious - Matt offered to keep the door a jar and had the cleaners lighting turned on. Small things but very important to our personal experience.In room two of the escape room we had a trouble with a sticky lock and within minutes they had Amelia in the room to help us out. Matt stopped the timer while Amelia unscrewed the latch and we were quickly on our way. Matt also offered extra time if we needed it due to the sticky lock. It was handled professionally and calmly. With both staff members being proactive to get the situation resolved.After we had finished the room Matt offered us a behind the scenes tour of the room with Amelia. Amelia took time out of her day to show us all the mechanics that are behind the puzzles, how they fix things and how they made props for the room. It was super interesting. As a creative I loved seeing the effort and care taken to create the experience.Matt and Amelia were such lovely people. I think King Pin should be incredibly proud to have such great staff. We loved our day today and will go back in a heartbeat.

So much fun!! Kids could spend hours here & Kaitlyn was incredible! Very friendly & helpful.Would definitely come back here every time we visit
