The Westin Melbourne

We stayed at the Westin Melbourne every year, not just we loved the gym, swimming pool, steaming room, sauna and it's great location. We also loved the service and the friendly hotel staff. We felt welcomed and being looked after by the lovely team during our stay.I lately forgot about few of our clothes items that had been left behind in the wardrobe of my room after we left. I only realized and contacted the hotel a week later and hoping they could locate them for me, they acted very quickly and not just located my items and they helped to express post to me. Special thanks to Meg who is the front desk duty manager who has been awesome! This little incident added even one more great experience that I've already had with the hotel, we have no hesitation to stay at the Westin again when next time in town - actually feeling like home to us.

Dropped in for a glass of wine pre theatre. Delicious wine and salted nibbles as well. Left brolly behind. Rang just before show started and we collected it at intermission. Great service all round.

The hotel was excellent and the bed was huge. We booked the deluxe king room external view. It was a very comfortable stay. Loved the furniture in the room and the view. The walk-in shower was great to use, but the adjustments for hot and cold were a little bit confusing. Room service was also very pleasant, and food was outstanding. We had French toast and a blueberry muffin. Before leaving, we also enjoyed the high tea.

After reading previous reviews for my own research, I felt compelled to leave a review to update prospective new comers who are looking for a decent room with a lovely updated large flat screen with streaming capabilities and a comfortable bed. Upgraded for free was a nice last minute addition and the room service pasta, surprisingly delicious. Doesn't get anymore convenient than the very heart of Melbourne's CBD.

From the moment we arrived to when we left, the service we received from the staff, was excellent! Although the room was a little dated, it was very comfortable, including the bed. The food was fabulous, especially the breakfasts and you could not find a more perfectly located hotel, for attending the theatre. The Westin is now our favorite Hotel in the city and we will definitely be returning!

I really love this hotel! The rooms are huge and it has everything top notch. The lounge / lobby has a nice seating area to eat lunch , I ordered a nice fish and chips that was excellent. I actually stayed twice, it was so nice I came back. Caroline helped me and she was so sweet and helpful , just like all the other staff. The room came with an adapter in the room ready to in case you needed it , I thought that was great. Service was excellent and top notch. Located right in the center and next to the theaters, good restaurants, the river is just a quick walk down, their taxi service pull up entrance is so quick and excellent , again these rooms are big with a chair / office desk, an extra lounge chair , big bathroom and big bath , very clean and came with sheets and plus a duve and the room was not too cold because it was perfect size . Also their breakfast is immaculate! The food was so great and the chefs were so nice and helpful.!they made me a special eggs benedict for me. Highly recommend ! Great service , rooms , food, and all the above amenities!

Booked a high tea for 4 and the experience was overall pleasant. The waitress was extremely friendly and made sure we had plenty of tea and water. The food was relatively average with the savoury dishes more outstanding compared to the sweets. 2 of the 4 high teas had special dietary requirements which were tailored for. The area was quiet, though the table was bit small for 4 people.Good value compared to other high teas, but wouldn’t come back for a second time. I think for the price there are better options around.

A good albeit expensive hotel located in the heart of Melbourne. Location wise it can’t get any better with most major places a few hundred metres away.As a follower of vegetarian diet, the breakfast options are limited as is the case in most Australian hotels. However there is generally baked beans, and if you request the chef they do make some South Indian item for you. Other than that you have corn flakes, croissants, waffles, fruits.The room itself is decently sized but not the cleanest. You are majorly paying for the location of the hotel.

My room was spacious, comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with plush bedding, modern amenities, and large windows that provided stunning views of the city. The bathroom was equally impressive, with luxurious toiletries and a deep soaking tub that was perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city.The hotel's restaurant offered a fantastic selection of food and drinks, all prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, with a wide variety of options to choose from, including a made-to-order omelet station and a selection of fresh pastries.The Westin Melbourne also offered a range of amenities to help guests relax and unwind, including a fully equipped fitness center and a spa that offered a range of treatments and services. The location of the hotel was also unbeatable, situated in the heart of Melbourne's vibrant central business district, with easy access to some of the city's best shopping, dining, and cultural attractions.

We enjoyed another wonderful stay at the Westin last weekend. It really is a home away from home. The staff are relaxed, helpful and friendly. The room was perfect. There is a distinct air of calm efficiency about the place. Looking forward to our next visit.
