Budget Car & Truck Rental Bentleigh East

The worst service I have ever had. They lie over phone was told $155 then I get charged $177.28. The terms weren’t explained properly. Then when returning truck the entrance is small and shouldn’t have cars parked. I’m now out of pocket for damages. I was told $4k excess but again have been charged $4527.35. They didn’t even leave me have option of fixing car. Girl was so rude accused us of not returning keys then when she found the keys didn’t apologize. For a young girl it’s disgusting that there was no customer service.

The staff member Puja was very helpful and polite. She calmly explained everything about the rental car. She was very good at multi-tasking as she had many customers in person and on the phone. She dealt with everyone in a professional and friendly manner.

Terrible experience here.4 payments were taken out of our account for a van hire, 2 from Melbourne and 2 from Virginia Beach???? Was refunded the payments from Virginia Beach (around a week later) and one from Melbourne (10 days later) but was still left with one payment that was $100 in excess from the price we were quoted when making the reservation. After my online enquiry was not responded to for a week, I rang Budget.When my call finally reached the Bentleigh office, the customer assistant was rude, received no greeting, kept cutting me off mid sentence and denied a vehicle was hired out on the stated date and that my confirmation number did not exist ( of course it doesn't. You cut me off mid telling you what it was). After affirming myself, they were able to find it. No explanation for the 4 payments that were made. Just replied with Oh.. you paid a $100 bond? Yes

Do yourself a favour and go somewhere else, the staff member did not mention the $35 toll charge which would normally be $7, he actually lied to me stating the charge would be the normal charge plus a $3.3 service charge.Then the charge hits your credit card before the invoice comes so youre totally unsure of what s going on, if I had been told this simple thing I could of made the decision to save myself an extra $25 for using the Monash/Tulla.. UNBELIEVABLE!!

Easy to book, pick up and drop off. Video explanation for how to use the lift. Would use again if needed.

Do not recommend... I had a booking, they called me day before to tell me that whoever currently had the van I booked was extending their rental.... Even though I had already booked it.... ?????? Don't understand why this other person is allowed to override my booking... Went to several other van hire businesses who all agreed that this was completely wrong and unprofessional... Offered me to pick up a van from camberwell instead .... The person who rebooked my van AFTER me should've been offered to go to camberwell..... What a joke .... Not happy at all.........

Would strongly recommend not going to this location, two of the three truck hires I have attempted at this location have been beyond a miserable experience.

Depends on who's serving you. If you get Ricardo, you're on really good hands. He goes above and beyond to help you. Honestly, he's the only the reason I keep renting from here and why I am giving this place such a positive review.

Please do yourself a fav and do not hire from this branch the staff are Muppets and don't have a clue what they are doing. I hired a van from here 3 weeks ago and they took the money twice and it's still not been refunded I have done a charge back from the bank as I've spend to much time on the phone to the retarted branch staff
