Addition.Have been on hold for 1hr 23 minutes and counting. Wanting to find out about a book I ordered Dec 8th which my son needs for school, that has already commenced.How can it been so hard to manage? I note the book is available at Dynocks online…… so why have you not delivered it yet?So unhappy with this.Now it’s closer to a total 7 hours on waiting on hold. Would you want to or have time to do this? Nearly two months ago I submitted my order!Really poor process this year.Call centre wait times are incredible. In total I think I’ve waited over five hours chasing the order. Order not processed on time as per the stated dispatch date on the invoice, then held up by Australia post. Incredibly stressful. Would have been simpler and more efficient to go to Officeworks, which I note in so much cheaper for the same items!!

Every year I hear this companies name with dread. To procur school books for your kids is uniquely frustrating, time consuming, chaotic & unpleasant. Over the last 12+ years, I would estimate I have spent about 48hrs waiting in this place, in 2 & 3 hr blocks every year.This seems to be due to the ridiculous, long-winded system implemented there.Do we really have to attend there personally, (in a 3 hr queue) to pay for books, just to be told that we will receive an email , to return & wait in another 3 hr queue, when their ready?Why can't we just email them & pay online?This system feels so amateur & outdated, its incredible. It results every year in considerable stress & anxiety, both for their temp workers & us long suffering parents. The most frustrating part. Although it is obvious to all that the system is irreparably broken. 'Campion' seem disinterested in modifying or overhauling it in any way. Instead it just gets worse every year.(200 parents waiting in 38 degree heat ,in a queue ,spilling out into the car park this year) It would be safe to say 'Campion' is the most dreaded, hated company, for Australian parents ,bar none. This has gone on way too long, the education contract should go to a company that is actually capable of implementing it.

My online order picking slip says I have received the Jacaranda Bundle for year 8 (3 text books), but only one turned up. I've tried twice to call them and both times I've been left on hold for an hour and so I've sent an email instead, all the while my son goes to school without his books. Not ideal. The price for text books are competitive, but the rest of the stuff is well overpriced. I'm going to be asking my school to use a different supplier. Too hard, too expensive and I'm too busy to sit on the phone for hours hoping someone will answer. Looking at the other reviews I can see I'm not alone..

School retail is a solved problem yet Campion doesn't seem to understand retail basics. This is the only retail industry where1. Demand is known to a very high degree of certainty.2. All goods have long shelf life3. Highest priority customer share of wallet4. Simple shop front operationsAll other retailers will drool over to get a product portfolio with above characteristics.Kudos to Ziggies for doing a great job all these years.It's ridiculous that they are making hard working parents stand in line for 3 to 4 hours to collect books. An absence of store pick up option is the main reason for the line outside. The online delivery is backlogged in my understanding and from the reviews online.Quick fixes :1. Start taking orders for store pick up and text customers when its ready. Don't make it fancy, do it the old fashioned way. Take a photo of the book list with a phone camera and have someone write it down for warehouse pick up.Strategic fixes1. Do a full value stream map of your ops starting from demand planning, distribution , logistics planning, shipping, warehousing and store operations. Pro top,- Hire a LEAN consultant.2. Get your supply and distribution in order. Get things to from where it is made to where it is needed in quantities that are needed in those locations3. Move customers to online channels and make them order early. Prompt them , nag them, threaten" them to order online in advance if that's the most cost effective channel.4. Make school pickups easier to do. Incentivise kids by giving them a Macca's coupon.5. Get local warehousing and storefront operations to the needed operational efficiency during peak periods."

They don't answer phone calls, they don't answer emails and my order is 4 weeks behind! How is this possible?? After finally getting through to a sales person, i still have to wait another week before it is delivered??? My poor child is sitting at school with no books, stationery or textbooks! Never will i use Campion again!

Do not recommend coming here.1.The line outside was out the door and it took half an hour to get inside.2. You line up again once inside to order your items.3. You line up again to wait for your order. We arrived before 9am and it took 50 minutes for us to get to this line, to be told it would take another hour for our order to be given to us. The orders being read out were in the 4000’s and our was in the 6000’s. Signs in the store said if you left the store during this time you would have to line up from the start. ALSO NO PUBLIC TOILETS AND PARENTS ARE WAITING WITH CHILDREN FOR HOURS AND CANNOT LEAVE TO GO TO THE TOILET!4. x2 items were not available on separate booklists and I was told it would be $7+ to post them out. I asked if they could be posted together. No they must be posted separately $7 x 2. Or I could come back again to collect. No thank you I never want to come back here!If people have to wait for two hours or more just to collect 10 school books there is a problem!Please come up with a better system and do better! The only one star review I’ve ever left in my life.

Waited on the phone on hold for an hour, which was fine because it is a busy time of year. However, I was told I couldn’t change my order to click and collect, to save time and have my child books in time for school (I placed my order on the 6/1). Was told they were packing it and that it would be dispatched in a week. Only other option given to me was to get them in store and then return the books that I had delivered and get a refund, which seems like a ridiculous waste of time for their staff! So, I proceeded to go in store to collect the items myself, but you had to line up and wait for someone at a register to collect your order at the warehouse and pack it for you there and then. I waited in line for an hour and a half, only to be told they don’t have the key textbooks my child needs. So we walked out and decided to wait for our delivery to arrive instead.I cannot believe that in this day and age, Campion is running their business so poorly! The poor staff are run off their feet, and for what? Grumpy customers everywhere. Absolute joke of a way to run a business.

Brought out Ziggys and promptly made the experience 500x worse. Removed self-service picking and don't tell anyone, forcing you to wait hours in a queue while they have a handful of staff do it for for you. Went from a half hour experience picking it ourselves to hours and hours of waiting.Plus, we always brought extra when self-picking, so they are throwing money away. Terrible experience. Shamefully organised.

Absolutely the most disgusting and awful service I have ever experienced. Waited for four hours only to not receive anything in the end. Your system is atrocious and management is even worse. If I could give no stars I would. Thank you for wasting my whole day and treating us like dogs. Absolutely disgusting of a company and system. I hope you close down

I went to this sanctuary for textbooks from home an hour away. We went out to go to the toilets (because there wasn’t any toilets in the campion and I was expected to hold in my bladder for an hour) before the closing time after ordering and we arrived a tiny bit later. We were then told to come on Monday, even though we already ordered and the books were probably already packed. The service members who took the orders and stuff were alright though.So annoyed with this type of treatment for the customer as staff only use the tick box than commonsense in their workI am afraid I could recommend this place for others after today’s experience
