Beyond the Beanstalk

I used their Hydroponics materials and methodology for STEM workshops aimed at junior school students ( years 1/2, 3/4) that I ran in Muswellbrook, Tweed Heads and Townsend. It’s something a bit out of the ordinary and the students loved it. Their teachers were pretty happy as well. Highly recommended.

Elizabeth’s list of incursions is so impressive, it is very difficult to choose just one! Our preschool children are the most excited about Dinosaurs and so as soon as we saw ‘dinosaur dig’ on the list, we just had to go for it and what a great choice it was as our children have not stopped raving about the experience. It was a great way of bringing pre-historic fun to the classroom. The children got to construct a life size skeleton of the t-rex and got to work like real palaeontologists by digging out the fossils from a large foam pit. The children also got to engage in fossil identification as Liz and Jenni provided expert insights into facts like the diet of the dinosaur, the size of the dinosaur etc. If you are looking for hands on STEM incursions, look no further – beyond the beanstalk has it all.
