A family member was admitted at Westmead Public Hospital and some of the nursing staff / medical staff breached Privacy Act a number times within a matter of few days. Yes legal action will be taken against those involved.Some staff are nice but some others are interested in chit chat with each other than doing their job.The hospital has paid parking and it is not easy to find parking a lot of time during our almost 10 day visit experience.There are cafes to buy food or coffee and pharmacy to buy medicine.

Westmead Hospital is a bustling hive of compassionate caregivers. Its cutting-edge facilities shine like polished gems, and its leadership in vaccinations blazes like a scorching sun. It's a powerhouse of medical excellence, soaring like an eagle above the rest.

I was appointed to Dr Andrew Duggins, the Neurologist, in Westmead Hospital, for dementia assessment. He was extremely helpful in following through the process. His staff were also very helpful in servicing my time. Thank you Dr Duggins and staff. I look forward to further assessments.

Always had great experiences here. A nurse named Monica in emergency acute ward was extremely helpful and compassionate to our family during a tough time, all nurses are great here however she met our every need and was such an amazing person.

I would like to give my deepest thanks to the Birth Unit staff at Westmead Public Hospital.I went into labour on 24/2/23 and was looked after by Registered Midwife Stephanie Gray, with so much patience and compassion. She gave me the time and space, and guidance throughout my labour. She was encouraging, calm and respectful as well.I would also like to thank Dr Kate who was so helpful throughout the end of my labour. My first time at Westmead Hospital and I was absolutely satisfied with the care. Thank you again!

My mother is currently in palliative care with her death imminent. She has been moved 3 times and we have asked the nurses several times to see a doctor only to have a nurse reply in a gruff tone what do you need to see a doctor for". A little compassion would go a long way right now."

In July I spent two weeks there after major liver surgery spent time in ICU ,HDU and a week in the new section of the hospital.My experience was extremely positive even though there were a few complications from the surgery all issues were fixed.My overall experience with all the staff was filled with dedicated people who were very empathetic to my needs.You could only feel sympathy for the nursing staff that were so stretched , but even with that they were more than happy to help me when asked. To say the the nursing system is at braking point would be an understatement we are very lucky to have such a dedicated group of individuals.A hospital is only as good as the people that work there.

I have been a patient at Westmead Hospital quite a few times, and I have found all the staff to be compassionate and gentle. They have helped me overcome some significant health challenges, and I am very grateful for their expertise. It's hard to spend time in hospital, but the orange jelly, vanilla ice cream, and cornflakes with full cream milk at Westmead Hospital are nice, which makes an admission there more comfortable.N.
