Craig has provided us with a quality of service that is quite rare these days.We initially purchased a third-party trailer from him (in other words, not built by him) which turned out to have major faults which would qualify us for a refund. Because of what is common today, we expected some hard work ahead of us to get satisfaction.Instead, without hesitation, he suggested he build us a good Aussie hot-dipped gal trailer to our specs without additional cost (not a cheap import). We had spent over $300 building a custom lid for the first trailer. So he built the new trailer to suit our lid rather than doing a stock size. Significantly, he was getting some grief from the third-party supplier when he wanted to get HIS money back, but this didn't stop him going ahead with building us a trailer.Since we live a little over two hours away from him, he drove north more than half way to meet us to hand the trailer over.Craig has a quick, dry sense of humour. If you're not the sort of person to appreciate that, then you may get offended or not realize he's joking. In that case, you might be better going elsewhere. But be ready with some good humour and you'll walk away a happy customer!

Picked up a new gal box trailer today , good price , well constructed and all parts separately galvanised before assembly . Peter and Craig provided great service . Trailer checked and connected to my vehicle by Craig - a pleasure to deal with

Job took under1hr fitter walked around helping other customers, having coffee etc while girl behind counter sat there, charged 2hrs Labor, complained & owner said both said was over 1hr, disgusting sales & rip off..Never ever again

Excellent customer service and price.Found a suitable towbar for my quite rare car when other businesses couldn’t one and even provided a solution for my swivelling bike rack issue free of charge.Highly recommend these guys.A great local small business to support.

Asked Rutherford Trailers to quote me an 8x5 tandem for a Customer project for my company.Discussed what I needed and headed off. Couple of hours later I get a call to clarify some rim and tyre details and waited for the quote. I wait a day, 2 days, a week. Nothing. I rang to see what was happening and was told “ the Boss is with a customer he’ll call you back. Still waiting another week later.Great Customer Service.This would have been an easy sale for them.Oh well, went elsewhere.I wouldn’t rate them with even 1 star but it’s the only way I can leave another disappointing comment about these guys.

What a rude man that bloke is that answered the phone. I read the reviews and gave him a chance to make me a custom, never been spoken to like that by a business owner, rude rude man.

I totally agree with Luke Thomas.i would advise everyone to avoid this place at all cost.the rudest staff i have ever encountered, i ended up by telling the clown and that's being nice, to jam the trailer up his a#$e as i was paying the deposit.never have i been treated like this ever, i would hate for any female to be treated like this.worst service ever. i have to give 1 star as i cant give zero.

Whilst away working in the area we had an issue with one of our trailers, that had been manufactured by another company. We contacted the team @ Rutherford Trailers & Towbars who were only happy to help. They rectified our issue on the day and got us back on the road again. The service was fantastic and the team were amazing. Without their level of assistance and expertise we may have been stranded without being able to continue our work. Thanks so much for all your help and professionalism, we couldn't recommend a better company. Highly Recommended !!!!!

Just went to Rutherford trailers to talk about getting a Bos Caravan mover & jockey wheel, he was on the phone , lady said I need to talk to John, he went outside on the phone came back in, pointed to a caravan mover & said in a very abrupt voice there is one there or I can get one you use on a drill, walk away hung up the phone went out into the workshop.What a pig, I will never go to the place again, dont know how he is still in business, so probably a 3-4K sale missed here, caravan mover , jokey wheel & a set of roof racksThere is no such thing as service here

What a shame, I chose to ignore the negative reviews below and give this business the benefit of the doubt. Called about a trailer issue and the man on the phone seemed nothing but short with me and didn't seem interested in helping me at all.Got off the phone and called another company straight away and the customer service was 10 fold so will be going elsewhere with my business.
