First walk in recent time that we haven’t had to wear a mask outdoors and called past Chapter Three for a take away coffee and a treat for later on. I ordered a regular strength skinny latte and couldn’t go past the almond rhubarb tart. Coffee was a lovely blend... I think they use genovesse which is one of my favourite (used to buy these beans directly from the roasters on Moreland Road). The tart was a delicious mid morning breakfast after returning from my walk.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Previous ReviewWe called into Chapter Three with the intent of grabbing something sweet from their cabinet. They have amazing slices and tarts including a rhubarb and berry tart which looked exceptional. This was going to be my pick but the serving staff suggested we try their summer dessert and made it sound a delight. Syrup soaked brioche with summer berries and a side of cream. It tasted so good that we were glad for the recommendation. My hot choc and KD’s LF Chai were also super sweet and tasty ... just what we were after. Waiting staff were attentive and it was a pleasant dining experience. My one criticism is that no mention of the price of desserts appeared on any menu which is one of my pet hates. We could have been charged $100 for it for all we knew.

We have eaten lunch at Chapter Three Espresso and Bar twice now and on both occasions have been really delighted with our chosen meals. Today I chose to eat the potato rosti with smoked salmon, salmon caviar, asparagus, poached eggs and capers with hollaindaise sauce and it was the nicest I have ever eaten. The cafe has a lovely friendly vibe-staff are attentive even though they are flat out busy-they did take a little while before handing out the menu-a big thank you to the staff who looked after us today! My meal was covered with a glass dome to keep the eggs warm which I thought was a fantastic idea & so cute! My tea was nice-I had earl grey. We couldn't fit in dessert but next time we will! We may even have an afternoon tea there one day. I think Chapter Three Espresso and Bar should be on your list of great Melbourne cafes-especially if you are planning a trip to Maling Road. Located in the Maling Road stretch, this place serves standard cafe fare in a relaxing atmosphere. We had the upstairs area to ourselves, which was nice but it meant we had to go downstairs to fetch staff when we needed attention. We chose from an extensive menu and the wait time was reasonable. My delicious rosti came with smoked salmon, asparagus, smashed avo, poached eggs topped with yuzu hollandaise sauce. Fresh ingredients combined harmoniously to make a tasty dish that's comforting and satisfying. My friends enjoyed their dishes, there was plenty of healthy and wholesome ingredients.Staff were friendly and helpful, just the upstairs seating didn't get much attention. Quite a good spot for the weekend brunch, just sit downstairs.

Cute little cafe in Canterbury - great variety of dishes including vegan and vegetarian options (for two of my friends). Each of the dishes we tried were tasty, beautifully presented and made with fresh ingredients. Absolutely loved sitting in the courtyard and great service.

We came 20 minutes before closing but they still let us sit down and have our coffees we got an iced long black, 3 iced chocolates and 2 iced lattes they were all very nice some of the best coffee I’ve tried in Melbourne. The staff were kind of rude or they were in a rush to close but I couldn’t tell the difference that was the only down side to this experience.
