The Golden Nugget, Ampol

Very busy spot. Luv interior decor, sat outside to eat lunch, on a pleasant, warm sunny day. Very busy traffic but enough space to enjoy outside tables despite the outside environment being harsh and city-like. Food is ABSOLUTELY AWESOME AND well priced, with friendly cheerful staff. Can be crazy busy with long waiting times, so don't be in a hurry. I've been 3 times and usually sit inside the historical and interesting cabin style interiored restaurant.

Have stopped here many times and been happy with the service and the meals. But I have noticed over the last 12 months the food has gone down hill. Called in there yesterday, and they were really busy. My husband and I got a Bacon & Egg Roll each, and had we have opened the bag to eat it sooner and not when we got out on the highway, we would have taken them back. The bread roll was so hard and dry all the way through, 2 small pieces of burnt bacon, and egg like a frisbie. These must have been in the hot box since the morning before to be like that. Will not be eating there again. I give the guy who served us though 5 stars.

Stopped for fuel on the way to the Cape and the gluten free breakfast muffin was beautiful. All meals are home cooked and delicious and really great coffee as well.

Delicious home made style dinners with mash potato mash pumpkin peas and corn. Yummy yummy yummy real mango smoothie

Nice little petrol station and convenient store. Got a chicken and salad roll from here and it was amazing!! Prices are a bit on the steep side but it is a convenient store. Toilet location is confusing. Its actually near the caravan park.

We had a wonderful breakfast at The Golden Nugget. Excellent food, actually too much for a great reasonable price. A big shout out to Thomas for his outstanding customer service. So friendly and helpful. Thank you.

Lovely staff and big meals to eat in here and also tasty takeaway

Excellent food, we had the Chicken Burgers and a Chicken Schnitzel Burger. Fresh salad ingredients and bread rolls. They didn't come with chips, but we didn't need them. Burgers are filling on their own. Staff are nice and friendly. Definitely stop in here for a meal.
