Another incredible Merivale experience! We had been to 5 Merivale venues already on our visit to Sydney and really loved them all so when we decided to go to Manly Beach for the day we researched to see if by chance Merivale had a restaurant or bar on Manly. They do! We had a wonderful lunch at Queen Chow right on the wharf. The food was delicious especially the seafood wontons in butter sauce (I could eat that sauce on everything!) and our wine was yummy. The view was amazing and so relaxing. Our waitress Mailee was so great! We happened to get in right under the wire as the restaurant was about to close - in 7 minutes! She was so sweet to go ahead and let us come in. We knew they were closing soon so we ordered quickly but we never felt rushed and Mailee actually chatted with us for quite awhile. She’s a sweetheart! Queen Chow is lucky to have her!

The seafood are fresh and tasty, especially the king fish sashimi with sauce! But very disappointed to Peking duck, the skin is not crispy; the meat is not tender either.Even a bit pricing, but very enjoy the good service and nice location.

We recently had a large Christmas lunch at Queen Chow. We chose the $99 set menu. Atmosphere & decor was great inside the restaurant. Food was fresh & delicious. Sometimes hard catching a waiter as they were so busy. Still a great place to dine.

Friendly staff. Lovely ambience, great for a nice meal with friends. Good service, maybe a bit too quick. Food was amazing, really recommend the Steamed Dim Sum platter. We ordered the Honey prawns as they are quite popular, although they were really nice, it wasn’t as expected. The Bugs were amazing. The fried ice cream was amazing!

Stopped by this place for a quick lunch. We didn’t have reservation and we were happy to be seated next to the window. Ambiance is lovely and our waitress was attentive and friendly, service quick. We shared crispy skin chicken, vegetarian fried rice that did have bit of a fishy taste and Asian greens were highlight of our meal, whilst other two dishes were just all right. Also for drinks I had the best Mojito cocktail I had in a while- compliments to barman

Nice restaraunt with a great view if you can get it, my wife and I were unfortunately squeezed on at the end of a high table that had very little room for our food, so book well in advance for a chance to get a good table if there is only two of you!The food was a little underwhelming and very pricey so can feel a little like a tourist trap.The atmosphere was good, there is a good selection of drinks and the staff were great so overall it's worth trying out once due to its location.

The atmosphere of this place is very nice. We could see groups and couples having a great time. We were greeted by a hostess that gave us few options showed us the way to our table and gave us the menu. She asked us if we wanted water to what I said yes and ordered a sparkling one since I was quite thirsty. We were left alone for a bit to check the menu, someone else came to check if we needed water so I told him that one of the waitress was organising that for us. He came later on to grab our order, the entree came first, water finally came second (after I asked for it a second time) with the glass of wine and tea pot and then the mains came last. The tea was nice although way to strong for my like (others may love it). The king fish was also nice although nothing really memorable. The special fried rice was very nice and quite filling since the portions are on the biggish side. The noodles were also tasty but once again not memorable. Overall we had a good time and the stuff was quite professional and friendly. It was clear to us that they were busy but they were patient with us and left us alone to enjoy our glass of wine. I wanted to go there for a long time and I may have been expecting a lot from the food hence why I couldn’t give it that many more stars. The place looks really promising but I feel that the food although tasty it wasn’t really worth the price like other restaurants by the Merivale.
