Olinda Falls Picnic Ground
Really pretty walk, can get slippery and the falls are best seen after heavy rains. Make the walk longer by starting at the Mt Dandenong Arboretum off Ridge Road and follow Mechanics Track, walk notes are on explorethedandenongs.com.au

Olinda Falls Picnic Ground
A beautiful walk approx 100 meters from the car park. An easy walk down but quite steep coming back up. Not for someone that can't walk uphill. (note toilets closed)However its very pretty, has a little platform at the end to watch stream. Recommend.

Nice short walk about 300m towards the Olinda Falls. It’s a difficult walk as you have to walk down and up through a steep slope. Beautiful environment.

Olinda Falls Picnic Ground
Not recommended for under age and 60+ or 50+ for women, going down is o.k and fun, but there are a lot of roads close and the worst part is when you are on your way to getting back to your car park, uphill, omg and an adult man almost dying by exhausted. If u finish Ur drink then you better rushing to home or the nearest park or shop, there r no water tab in this Olinda Falls, and if it's raining no place to hide, nothing special, I'm not coming back to this place, better go and take a walk near my house.

The walks were nice, and natural, with aerobic benefits. The falls were a bit ordinary. Overall though a very pleasant nature hike.

Olinda Falls Picnic Ground
Nice quiet place for a picnic and it would have been totally awesome on the day we visited this place, however, the toilets were locked up when we were there which made long picnics rather difficult. We proceeded to the Fall immediately and had a short break here after coming back from Olinda Falls. Good rest place to chill before getting back into the car.

An absolutely beautiful place, shame you can't get to the top of the waterfall safely maybe one day it will be fixed I was tempted to walk this log anyone else done it?

The lower viewing platform is still closed however the steps down to the lower falls are open. The toilets should be open by next February or March 2021, pending septic system upgrades. Nearest toilets are Kalorama Park or Olinda township opposite the Chemist.

Picnic ground is fine. The walk down the hill is fantastic. The fall is tiny half way. There are numbers of road blocks for a few tracks and lower half way of the Olinda fall (Danger sign or Snake sign). Crossing the fall to the other side via a small bridge is blocked with a huge trunk. However lots of beautiful years and years old tall trees, amazing breeze and birds, a bit sloppy green picnic ground are there, not so bad! It has a small campfire place, too.Another issue is the Toilet - it's been closed for years!
