He eventually let me down because I started asking questions about the scope of his work, and I got confirmation from the Immigration that he was wrong. Fortunately, a friend advised me to go to Estrin & Saul who, for a fraction of what Ptlabs wanted, could tell me that I could apply for the visa myself, without needing an agent. And I got my visa without any problem, whereas Ptlabs would have chosen a path that might certainly have led me to lose my PR status forever.
