was excited to try this butcher but they wouldn't accept my cash as payment. ridiculous my money wasn't accepted. I found another great butcher close by to become my regular spot that accepts my money.

Such a lovely butcher! We only buy meat from here - so great to know it’s all ethical. The loveliest staff too! Nick (?) in particular is awesome. Also, the salmon is so delicious!

I never write online 'reviews' because of perceived bias, but I must write about my experience with Canning at Burwood Brickworks. The current Pandemic crisis has affected how every business operates, from small to large corporations. Cannings has shown it's putting people, staff and customers before profits. When the State govt reduced the capacity of abattoirs, this directly affected supply. Cannings placed a '2kg per customer' limit on goods when the lockdown started. My neighbour works for another butcher, his boss sold 9 metric tonnes of meat in one day thus exhausting his supply. He duly sacked his workforce. Canning on the other hand, has maintained excellent high-quality stock through the nullifying of panic buying thus ensuring food for all and jobs for their staff. Like I said, people before profits. I take my hat off to you all. This is a marathon, not a sprint and we are truly all in this together. It is a privilege to call myself a customer. Thank you.

Easily best collection of delicious cuts of meat on this side of town. My 10 month old son had his first lamb cutlets from you guys and he loved every moment of his meat lollipop.Also the customer service is always amazing. Special shout-out to Connor. You really went out of your way to facilitate family dinner and I will always appreciate your kindness and goodwill.Update Dec 2022: I got covid when the new variants kicked in around Nov 2022 and the only thing that kept me going was the beef bone broth you guys stocked. It felt like I accidentally swallowed broken glass and I was perpetually dehydrated but realising I had a stockpile of your bone broth in the freezer was a godsend. Thanks so much for the nutrient rich broth and helping me get through the worst of it. If I could give you 10/5 stars I would

Incredibly overpriced. $30 for two mid section pieces of salmon. 2 stars as i like the cashless concept but the prices mean i'll be sticking to my butcher in burwood one!

Cannings at Burwood BrickworksVjsited 27/2/2021It is unlike all other butchers I have been to. On the left side against the wall, Cannings has vertical chillers and fridges with closed doors displaying the meat on sale as well juices and drinks. It is a wise move to save energy.Although I am a meat lover, but I do have very mixed feeling when I see the very large cuts of meat in the chiller right at the front of all others. It is a stark reminder that cattle is not the greenest animals on the planet, which does not fit the intended theme of the design of Burwood Brickworks.The store has other horizontal display units, and the overall presentation is great. Besides the product display, the big sign Cannings" cannot not be missed even if one is the shortest person in the world.It is just a casual visit to the store as the centre is closing for the day

Great aged beef steak love the quality waited a week to get it and it is worth the wait.
