I approached Andrew when I was looking for a birthday gift for my Mother. It was a big birthday and I wanted something sentimental. I didn’t want to provide her with a dust collector and was on the hunt to find something unique which also reflected her personal taste. My Mother loves the ocean and bright blues. Andrew had been experimenting with using some shells in his designs. We decided on a charcuterie board but with a slight difference Andrew made it to tell a story. I provided Andrew with some shells my Mother had collected with my son from her home town in Port Macquarie and I then handed over artistic licence. What Andrew produced exceeded my expectations. I was provided with a work of art which my Mother loved. The board was beautiful but the thing that meant the most was that it holds memories of many precious days collecting sea shells and will forever be something that will be cherished in my family.It was a pleasure to work with Andrew on this project. He kept me well informed throughout the process and I admittedly started to get excited by the photo updates following each pour and seeing the piece come to life at each stage. Would be more than happy to work with Andrew again.
