Scarborough Bowls Club

2023, March: Disco night at the club. Great music. Very friendly staff.

I went here with a group to play barefoot bowls and have dinner. I have never bowled a ball in my life (and may not ever again based on my performance) it was a lot of fun though. Dinner was really really good. I am so sorry I didn't get photos of the plateful of roast meat and vegetables but as soon as I sat down with it I had to eat it right there and then, it looked sooooo good, and it was. We all really enjoyed our food, even the gluten free among us were happy with their gluten free bread rolls. The pork crackling crackled and I don't think many people left any food on their plates. The price was very reasonable, $15 for the meal and $5 or $10 for bowling (can't remember which one, though I think it was $5). Not often you can have a really fun night and a yummy meal for $20, oh and I nearly forgot, there was live music too. However we were either outside bowling or in the dining room eating so we didn't get to hear it, someone said they were good though as they went in to have a listen. It was helpful though to have the live music in another room to us as we could hear each other talking really well. It was a great night and I highly recommend it, especially the food.

Wow. What a friendly old style club where everyone knows everyone and says hello. More than reasonable drinks prices, with pokies and betting facilities if you want. Give it a good, you won't regret it!

Last friday I went to relieve myself at the bathroom and I believe it was Maggie but someone left behind a present in the toilet bowl. THIS IS NOT OKAY.P.S i made my grandson type this because i cannot work this technology #lol :)

Trivia here on a Tuesday night is fun, and popular. A good feed for $15. Trivia for $2. A good evening's entertainment.It appears to be a friendly and hospitable club.
