Lambie Gorge (Heritage Walking Track)
Beautiful walking trail. Not for beginners. Rocky ascent. Worth the reward of the view of the gorge, and on a hot day, a cool off in the water from the lower track.

As previously mentioned by other guide, accessible behind footy field. Not that long and not hard to walk up to first platform as there's handrail. Second part is for able bodies over rocks but still not complex. Nice view although at the time river was almost dry. Heritage site at the beginning together with national engineering historical site showing rock bolts.

From and back to the carpark this was about a 25 min walk (including reading the signs and a quick stop at the top) and 1.5km. Have to walk on rocks but it’s not too challenging. As mentioned previously, park at the memorial park then walk through and behind the Showground until you reach the walk’s sign. Lots of wildlife (lizards and insects) and info about the abundant fauna. A nice look into alpine aus!

Lovely short walk into a hidden Cooma gem. Access can be fiddly, we went in at the bowling club. The rock bolt test and display area was a lovely surprise.

When you consider the importance of rock bolting in it’s industry now, it’s amazing to know how the methodology was vastly improved scientifically here in Australia and at this site. Absolutely worth a visit and is an easy walk for anyone to get to. Lots of rock wallabies around as well.
