I didn't even stay there and based on these reviews and the state of the hotel when I drove past it sounds horrible. It looked like an abandoned shack. I'd be better of sleeping in an underpass. Kind regards muggy

I've never had a place tell me not to flush after a number 1 before.....I stayed here a few days ago. It gets the job done for an overnight sleep but along with a few cockroaches and rude staff it was certainly unenjoyable.If you can book somewhere else I would recommend you do so. Plus they add extreme fees for being late to check in? Just leave the key.The owners also act as if you are a burden and give dirty looks??? I paid over 100? Don't act as if I've killed your childIn summary, if you can book somewhere else I'd recommend you to do so but if you have to stay here then it's doable for one night.

Country Views without the Country Hospitality or the Country Vibe. Air con remote taken out of the room so you can't adjust modes. The amount of rules that go with staying there is a overkill however the owners feel it's ok to stand outside your room and talk when they know you are trying to sleep. The ceiling fan didn't even have a adjustment knob on to turn on. I just didn't feel welcomed there at all.

Horrible experience from start to finish. Front desk lady was very rude and abrupt. Lots of rules telling you not to flush the toilet or use fans despite paying over $100 for the room. In the morning we were woken rudely at 7am to the owner banging on the front door accusing us of sneaking children into the room because my size 5 ladies shoes were at the front door. They then knocked again at 9.30 telling us to leave despite check out time being at 10am. (This was confirmed at time of check-in). To top things off there was bed bugs or fleas in the bed. Horrible bites all over! Dirty room with cat hair everywhere! Strange window leading into their house in the bathroom was wide open upon arrival. Creepy, unsafe vibes.

Would give it no stars if I could. Was quoted one price, turned up and was told that I needed to pay extra for my dogs, which I was told were fine before that point. Lady was incredibly rude, so rude that I left crying. She then had the audacity to charge my credit card even though I didn't stay. Place was unkept wouldn't bother staying. Travel to mackay where the people are nicer.

Clean and comfortable room.Make sure that you have food and drink for your meals, as there is only a service station across the highway.The sunset was awesome!

Such a friendly and efficient host... Called to confirm my late and last minute check in and even had the footy switched on for us ready! The rooms were clean and spacious with comfortable bedding, and thoughtful touches. And thanks also to the lady who cooked us some late night chips in the servo across the road.

Clean, large pet friendly rooms.Overall it's fine for a place to lay your head after a long journey.Found when reading the rules left in the room for it to be like the guests are an inconvenience to the owners. Surely they could be written in a nicer tone as not everyone is out to break rules or cause damage?Overall would I recommend it - Yes. It's fine for a place to lay your head & meets those expectations..

Have stayed before and found it great. This time the opposite. Guy at reception was plain rude. Didn't even greet me before ranting and very angry thst I had a dog (would not stay there with a dog folks....they are NOT welcome any more even though their sites says they are, and there was no problem a couple of months ago when I stayed). Tried to make me pay again even though I had already paid on line. Room was so full of mozzies it was sprayed throughout then I waited outside for the fumigation to settle. WiFi only if you go and sit outside the owners house. I travel every fortnight and stayed there because it is a small family business. I was the only one staying that night I think. And I still felt like I was doing him a favour being there. Very sad. Will stay elsewhere next time
