Called this company to come and check my heater, they said 140 to attend, attended didn't check anything and said it has error 4 problem, I know that, it's why I called them, he then said $1040 to check it and service it,so 140 was for what, petrol fee, ridiculous, they wouldn't give you that quote over the phone, they said can't until check it, they didn't check, massive Scam company, never use and will let everyone know. Called another who will do exactly what Metropolitan would do for $375, not 1040 + 140 call fee, what a joke, thieves

Couldn't be happier with the service provided by Metropolitan Plumbing. They were professional and efficient, resolving my pipe leakage issue in no time. Not only were they prompt in their service, but they were also courteous and respectful of my space, cleaning up after their work. 27/6/2023 My daughter urgently needed a dishwasher fitted as her child is extremely ill in the Children's Hospital and hygiene when they return home is paramount.Called Metropolitan Plumbing, who said they would send someone out to give me a fixed price quote, as “they couldn’t give a price until they’d seen the job”.The job was in fact purely to fit a cold water splitter, providing water to both the cold tap and the dishwasher. No cupboards needed to be cleared out, no holes needed to be cut, no pipes or cables needed to be run, no new outlet was required, no power points need to be fitted, the dishwasher didn’t need to be fitted into the cabinet space, the dishwasher pipes didn’t need to be run under the sink – all of the above had already been done. All that was required in terms of plumbing was to fit a $30 cold water splitter – full stop.The plumber arrived and told me that there was a flat fee for fitting a dishwasher: $790. I asked why he needed to come to assess the job if it was a flat fee and why I wasn’t told what the flat fee was when I contacted Metropolitan Plumbing in the first place? He didn’t know. On top of that he was also charging an additional call out fee.I had no choice but to go ahead as my daughter and grandchild would be home and I had no time to get another plumber, so stupidly I agreed. I shouldn't have, but I was desperate.From the time the plumber walked through the door to the moment he left was 25 minutes. The cost was $839, including a part supplied worth about $30, so the cost of having him here was more than $1900 per hour.If you want to pay $1900 per hour for a plumber then Metropolitan Plumbing is for you.28/6/2023 Contacted Metropolitan Plumbing on the email they provided. Booked someone to look at our gas log fire which was not igniting. Told we had to pay $141.90 service call. Andrew arrived & quoted $2,539- to service it! Said it would be a thorough job & would take 2-3 hours but parts are not included. Total rip off, have not paid more than $300 previously!

SCAMMERS!!!!!!! These guys are seriously bad. Please, please, please avoid at all cost! Cos it'll DEFINITELY cost you!Our ducted heater broke and we called them, firstly they said they'll be there between 2-5pm, they arrived closer to 6, when it was dark and cold. Poked around for a bit and quoted us $1000 for a 'rejuvenation', whatever that is! We stupidly agreed, it's the middle of winter, we have a sick baby and our heater is old. We trusted them.They couldn't do it then, had to wait til the next day and AFTER we'd paid, there was an offhand comment about how our heater was really old and the parts that were broken weren't being made anymore, here's a $6000 quote for a NEW HEATER!FIVE DAYS LATER IT BROKE AGAIN!!!! We did get 50% refund, but that's still $600 for FIVE DAYS!We have since had the circuit board replaced for $200 and was told all they did was went up there and reset the system, which took all of FIVE MINUTES! And guess what...our heater did NOT need replacing!

This business is a scam - they charge for a call out then charge an absolute fortune for a basic job (taking advantage of the situation). These guys didn’t even make the 3 hour time slot they elected! I would definitely avoid.

Poor value for money. Tried to look for a reset button on the hot water system and when he couldn’t find one simply came to the conclusion that it needs to replaced. Quoted $2k more than other plumbers to replace the hot water system.
