Had ongoing issues with NBN installation, called the TIO within 24 hours a solution had been organised and within 3 days rectified.Prior to contacting TIO, I was informed it would be 4 weeks.Ombudsman are there to help. Don't let a company push you around. Use the process that is there to help us the consumer.

Tico ombudsman, poor service, no follow up hardly, website very difficult to use, not reliable , very poor govt service ; range of other reviews of this dept not good , more than 50% declare ombudsman seems to act in the interest of the companies and not the plaintiffs in majority of cases! Needs an overhaul of senior management !I resolved complaint with carrier myself with a threat of exposure on ACA !

I love this service and really appreciate the support I’ve received in light the many questionable practices of telcos these days. Sadly, it doesn’t appear they are lifting their game and will only do so when forced to by this body. I have had at least three occasions where I’ve needed the TIO for me, or to support others and could never have walked the dizzying journey forced upon me without their help. I’m honestly stunned that there are not more positive reviews. I for one take great comfort in knowing they are there and so accessible and am ever grateful.

Sorted out Telstra in a call what I'd been trying to do for3 months! Funny how Telstra snapped into line when the TIO was called. Thanks TIO.

Ridiculous having to be put through what moose did.Told me what my email was and it wasn't,wanted email from that address despite it not being mine, not having control over it.Couldn't ring them nightmare.

Usless to me optus is messing with my phone im not even an optus customer they can because it their towers but ombudsman wont do anything

After a long and frustrating issue with my Telco I contacted TIO. A friendly, understanding lady reassured me and gave me straightforward answers as to what would then happen. A Telco person rang me the next day, gave me a case manager and it is fixed. Please don't wait around if you don't get satisfaction from your Telco after a few attempts. TIO is there to help.

Waste of time. Reporting my provider accomplished nothing. One of the people I spoke to from the TIO actually took the side of the Optus representative who breached both Australian Contract Law and Australian Consumer Law (two areas of law I have studied at tertiary level). He said oh maybe she didn't know" to which I replied that even if that were the case

It is impressive how quick my internet provider respond and resolve dispute when TIO involved.
