The Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel

Close access to Melbourne Connect at Uni of Melbourne and the main shopping street of Carlton. The location is very accessible. However, the Inn Hotel is quite outdated like it is built for the 90s. There is small swimming pool, and the dining area does not seem to be used, it was dark all the time.The room is decent, and there is a queen bed and twin bed available, a tub and shower in the bathroom, and a small dressing table that could work as a work table. The internet works reasonably well (did not test for zoom calls). However, the lock in the room is very basic and there’s no security latch for further security. The connecting door to the next room is not well insulated and talking or TV noises can easily be heard through the door.Luggage storage after check out is available. I would not recommend this Inn for vacations; it is only good if you’re visiting the university nearby and have work meetings or conference.

The young man at reception was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and the room clean. However it was not what I expected considering the other reviews. I booked a spa room paying a bit more in price. These rooms are situated ground floor in the back with little natural light as the windows are high up and face another building which is a little run down. The furniture is very cheap looking so just gave the room a cheap feeling. The pool was also closed which was disappointing as my son was looking forward to it .

Nice place to stay. The staff are very helpful. The room was clean. It is a very good location. You can quite easily walk to nearby attractions like the museum or old Melbourne gaol. There are so many restaurants and cafes in easy walking distance on Lygon St. I also just walk into the city from here. Straight into Melbourne Central with a cinema and loads of shops.

Great staycation at Carlton Best Western Plus Travel Inn Hotel. Excellent central location to all things Lygon street in one direction, and the Melbourne Museum and surrounds in the other. Also close to the CBD without all the fuss.

Good location but really outdated and expansive. Heater wouldn’t work during the middle of a Melbourne winter same with shower only extremely hot or cold.

Excellent place for a week long stay while visiting Aus for the cricket World Cup!The staff were pleasant, helpful and attentive in all aspects.The breakfast left a little to be desired, but that’s understandable due to the times we’re currently living in re: ‘ronaGreat food places and a wide variety of them to boot within walking distance to soothe your appetite.Definitely a place I will re-visit if the need arises ever again.

The hotel is located in the city center so you'll have great access to everything. The rooms are absolutely clean. The continental buffet includes crossants, toasts, yoghurt, milk, honey, jam, Vegemite, milk, coffee, and corn flakes. It's $17. You can also choose cooked breakfast at a different rate. It has a small outdoor swimming pool (1 metere depth).

Breakfasts excellent. Staff friendly, polite, knowledgeable about the area. Bed comfortable. Location excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
