Extremely disappointed with our meal here. We were seated at a table that had no water glasses and one knife each. We waited at least 15 minutes before we asked if we could order. The lady that originally took our order was new, and clearly hadn’t been trained or assisted in any way (not her fault, that is on the management team). We had a second lady come over and confirm our order twice, each time we mentioned that their was allergies for two of the meals, there was no effort to take note or confirm with chefs. Although the food came out quick, it was put down in front of us and the staff walked away, we weren’t given any cutlery which we ended up taking off another table next to us. The food tasted like it had been frozen, and then reheated. We left majority of our meals due to being unsatisfied and didn’t feel as though the restaurant was worth our time. The male behind the bar, continually rung his bell for drinks to go out and was rude to staff members. The male, who seemed to be acting as manager left half way through dinner service leaving his staff to fend for themselves. Your common hospitality procedures were not meant, we were not asked how our food was, we were not offered any drinks, the staff made no effort to create a relationship with customers despite their slogan being “you’re treated like family here”. Management needs to step up, train their staff, be an active part of the team and create a healthy and sustainable environment. Will not be returning.

Absolutely terrible! The meatballs tasted like they came out of a can and were undercooked in the middle. The coffee milk was old and curdled. The lamb ribs we ordered had no meat, it was just thick layers of fat and sinew which was hard to chew. I've added a picture for reference, you can see the unchewable connective tissue sticking the ribs together, absolutely disgusting. The food gave us food poisoning and ruined our trip to Newcastle.

Service was slow and took a while before our order was taken. Requested modifications to my meal of which weren't accommodated and we were not provided with cutlery. The food however was fantastic and brought out within a reasonable time frame. Prices are quite high for what we ordered.

The branding and atmosphere of this restaurant is pretty great but the food is woefully bad every time I go here. An Italian would cry at the lack of love given to these ingredients. The menu is too big for the kitchen to handle, so too many items are preprepared, frozen, thawed and reheated. To top it all off the prices are extraordinarily high compared to the quality. You can judge an Italian restaurant by its most basic elements, a margarita pizza and a Caprese salad, both are sadly underwhelming.

Don't order their food online!!!I made an order at 740 pm, and the order was delivered after 910 pm. It's only 10 minute's walk from my home to the store BTW.The pizza was cold, literally, cold when it arrived. The pasta was better.... just.. better....The pizza was over salted, maybe it's my problem. But the pasta was under salted and under cooked...I would never eat that thing" if I was not starving with an empty fridge."

The girl at the front counter was rude and not very helpful when we asked for a table and we said we didn’t have a booking. She rolled her eye and said we would only have an hour to eat. That sounded ok as it was 8 pm and just wanting to grab a bite after the movie. It then took about 15 minutes before she took our order. The male staff member who brought our drinks over was very friendly and polite. While we were finishing up she was cleaning up and getting ready to close (being very noisy ). At no time did anyone come and ask if we were finished or if we wanted anything else or just the bill. We left just after 9 . No customer service on the way out either. Surprising she only had one table left for us considering the place was less than half full. The last few times the service has not been that great but after last night not sure I would eat here again. Southern Italian hospitality, it definitely was not.

I love the extensive menu - so much to choose from! I chose the Lamb skewers; they were HUGE and packed with flavour. You get two and I could barely finish one. I also ordered a side salad and it was fresh and delicious , there was so much of it that I ate half and went home with a full container of leftovers. A bit on the pricier side but well worth it for the quality and generous portions. The service was also professional and friendly. Look forward to returning and trying some of the other options!

I loved dining there, the customer service was wonderful everyone made sure that we were comfortable and enjoyed our time there. The food was nice and so good fresh and hot straight from the stove. The pizza was lovely couldnt finish it and the ribs where so yummy fully cooked falling off the bone with beautiful sauce.

Lunch time service was extremely quick, the staff on where nice and efficient, came and served us quickly, provided us with our drinks quickly too, food was hot, fresh and yummy! The meals were extremely large in portions which is good, I guess this is why the price is so high, 2 mains & 1 soft drink $125.Fans outside need a dusting...

We haven't been here in a few years so we were keen to have some great Italian so we could reminisce about our times spent in Italy. The atmosphere in this restaurant is always vibrant and busy, usually a good sign. We selected a table as it didn't have a reserved sign on it and settled in. The front of house came over to us and asked if we had booked and we said no, he proceeded to inform us that we should have booked online and then said don't worry I will move a few bookings around so you can stay here". For a start how are you supposed to know that? Anyway we know now and so when we go out to other restaurants this is another bloody layer of something that needs doing! So getting to the food we selected theOCTOPUS & CALAMARIBbq octopus
