Came in for a data only plan for my iPad. I was then suggested to contract an iPhone 14 Pro Max, with $1500 worth of accessories that is actually not even worth it. The data only plan did not work, activated as a mobile phone plan when the sim CLEARLY stated Data-Only sim... Also got offered trend micro for iPhone? Really Optus? You can do better than this..

Imagine waiting nearly 2 hours to buy a phones and Apple Watches. Walked in 4:30 and leaving 6:20. And no not talking about waiting in line, I’m talking about the process paying, details, employee stuffing up and always calling another employee to help. Honestly just should have gone somewhere else. This has happened more than once. Train your employees, thanks. UPDATE. Only leaving 6:40pm. Employees here keep asking, I think the manager, questions interrupting our process to finalise payments and to leave. I think they need a new team here to run stores, one person here seems to be doing everyone’s job here!

I came in here for 2 phones and an iPad, the dude who served me was asking me a bunch of questions that made no sense, it took almost 2 hours to process my order so I played Fortnite on my iPad in the meantime, after wards they told me to wait another 30 minutes and go have a walk.

I visited the Midland Optus store today to reactivate my eSIM as I have bought a new phone. I was met by a young gungho tech guy who said yes he could fix me up. I am 85 years old and a little bit deaf. He asked for my phone and my driver's licence and proceeded to go to the computer in a rush through a procedure. I found it hard to understand him as he spoke very quickly. I told him my age and my problem with hearing but that didn't stop him from talking quickly and I still couldn't understand much of what he was saying. I was concerned at what he was doing because it didn't look like an e SIM transfer to me. And I was right. It wasn't an e SIM transfer. What he did was take my esim number and put it on a new sim card even though my new phone only takes one SIM. So I get home but with a second Optus sim which I can't put in my phone and my e sim is still not working on my new phone. Terrible service from this young gentleman and I was not impressed with him at all.There is a sequel. I revisited the Optus Store at Midland the next day, and, after a 15 minute wait I was attended to by a second staff member. Within 30 minutes he had activated my esim on my new phone. I had previously attempted to do this online and by phone to Optus without success. Visiting the store was my only option. So, 40 kilometres of travel and 2 hours of time and I now have a working esim!

I went on to change my number from another provider to Optus. I must say the service at Midland store is fantastic, the store manager being highly hospitable and looks after you all time. I must say the best service I got so far from any mobile company.

I cannot praise the staff in this store highly enough. Vinkal, Lucas & Saad were so helpful. They not only moved all my apps to my new phone. They also cleared my husbands phone & transferred everything off his to my old phone, even though he wasn’t with Optus. When we went back a week later with an unrelated problem Lukas & Saad would not give up until they solved it. They worked above and beyond the call of duty. We left the shop very happy. Thanks again.

Frustrated that I was standing there for over 10 minutes and not one staff member acknowledged my presence.Yes they were with other customers, but I was only metres away and only got glancing looks.Good customer service would have been a quick comment. Like ‘good afternoon, we will be with you next.’ Yet nothing.Thankfully I didn’t need their help to recharge my phone as it was a technical outage/issue.

I originally intended to purchase the A54 samsung, but walked out with 3 trend micros. Each trend micros can protect 3 phones. Dont recommend this place alongside its $2000 worth of accessories

I would like to acknowledge Lukas from Optus Midland Gate for the exceptional customer service he provided myself and my client when we were in the store recently. He treated my client in her wheelchair with the same great care and respect as he showed towards me and never undermined her ability to ‘speak for herself’ as is often the case. He checked her plan and offered an alternative that better suited her current situation. We both left the store with all issues sorted and felt listened to and respected. Thank you Lukas.
