Prices generally on the higher end for a modest suburban fish and chips joint.40 cent surcharge for using a card on a $15 order? Seriously. These businesses need to stop doing this. Just include whatever the surcharges are in your actual prices.

We are thrilled to have found this fantastic corner takeaway. SO CLEAN and the oil is perfectly clean too and we know this because the fish and chips are the colour they should be when fried.Con & Sophie (owners) are super hard workers and we commend them for still being in business with the world how it is these days. This shows they have loyal customers and loyal customers means good quality food, service and value for money.You don’t find these places much anymore so if you want REAL fish & chips, fresh sandwiches, egg&bacon rolls or traditional hamburgers make the effort to go to this old school family run business & remember how great things used to be when we were kids.

Absolutely the best hamburger I have had since the 70's! Authentic, fresh and delicious. Chips and potato cakes are also very very good. The owners are lovely and provide excellent service. I will never go anywhere else for fish and chips. Thank you for the experience.

really good service, clean shop, the burgers are good value for juicy, tasty, filling burgers and theres no comparison to mainstream take away which resembles cardboard.. and nutritionally everything they sell is much better also.

Our favourite take away shop hands down!We found Con’s by chance one day over 5 years ago and even after moving away still make the trip for a delicious egg and bacon roll or roast beef.It’s an amazing old school takeaway joint. Everything is made fresh as you order.It’s a mom and pop business run by a beautiful family.On Melville at a tram stop plus parking available on the street on Melville and Victoria so easy to visit!I wish I had photos to add but the food doesn’t last long enough to snap a pic!

The best local fish and chips I've had in Melbourne (the chips are beautifully on the inside and crispy on the outside, not too oily too, flake was fantastic as well) - exactly what you'd want from a local takeaway and super nice owners, high rec!

Brilliant old fashioned fish and chippery with a huge range of burgers and sandwiches as well. Piping hot coffee. Very friendly service and decent prices. This is a classic old school takeaway and I hope it never changes. Right next to the bus and tram stops. I wish every suburb still had a place like this.
