Manilla Freedom Camp
Wonderful riverfront camping experience just move higher up the bank if there is heavy rain as the river can rise 2 or 3 m overnight . Ample level sites away from river but still a wonderful view . Its only a short walk to town with a pub and bistro the closest . Across from the pub is a fantastic butcher with excelent bacon and maple syrup sausages ... yum !!!IGA is another 2 minutes up the road.Donations are a must . Sadly can only stay 2 nightsThey have had a change of plan .... we can now stay for 7 nights .....How good is that !

Beautiful large open spaces, no rest rooms, there is a dump point, water & bins.

Freedom Camp cause donation camp. MUST BE SELF CONTAINED though some choose to ignore this ruleHas dump point and garbage bins.Lovely grassed sites some with fire pits, some with tables apparently some taps for water somewhere.Very quiet despite closeness to bridge.

Under the bridge is noisy but not for much longer grounds are huge and no burrs?? Excellent camping even without toilets

What a great spot!So much space shaded by lovely trees. We were concerned about the ground being soft after 24hours of rain before and during our stay but it was hard and we had no problems getting out. Plenty of bins at the camping area and a short stroll to town. Make sure you do the right thing and leave a donation.

Great free camping area for self contained RV ‘s and vans. Please don’t stay here if you don’t have your own toilet. There are no toilets nearby. This camp is close to town. Great coffee shops well stocked IGA and close to RSL where there is a great Thai restaurant.

Manilla Freedom Camp
One of our favourite places. Quiet, sun or shade spots on lawn. Dump point, fresh water, bins for recycling and walking distance to town. Thank you Manilla, receipts are in the collection point.
