Australia Post - Doncaster East LPO

Misleading information provided. The lady told me the international express post can NOT deliver letter to PO Box. You believe it? No problem at other post office.

As the other reviews say, there is a lady at the back who is extremely unfriendly. She ignores you even when you’re right in front of her, unless you ask for a service. None of the other staff seem to care about her behaviour either, and I heard from a friend that another staff member was also rude to her. This lady very obviously had a hostile and impatient attitude unsuitable for customer service and always seems like she does not want to deal with anything. I gave her my parcel and when I asked for the tracking number, she told me to wait until she’s done first which is understandable but she was just being rather pushy and commanding. I thought I would just be an ‘easy target’ to be picked on since I am a rather reserved person and am inexperienced with postage, but it seems this experience is unanimous. I also asked for the tracking number for my parcel multiple times, and I did not understand her very well until she told me to keep the pink slip from the envelope, then I realised that was the tracking number on there. Anyways, do not come here if you want to be treated with respect.

The short: I hate giving negative reviews but one of the staff is consistently rude and condescending.All my other experiences with other AusPost branches and staff are nothing but friendly and positive.The long: every encounter here is frustrating. On one occasion, the staff member insisted I only had 1parcel when I showed her 2 seperate confirmation emails. I could see the other parcel just behind her and kept pointing it out. After 10 min of insisting it wasn't there, checking my ID, accusing me of committing fraud because I use an English name and threatening to send my future parcels back, she finally looked at the parcel I kept pointing to and said oh

Not even worth a one star review. The customer service here is terrible. they make constant mistakes and never apologise or offer to assist in making things right. They don’t value anybody’s time and the people working behind the counter give Australia Post a bad name. Will be moving my parcel locker to another location to avoid having to deal with them

Extremely rude staffs. The Philippino lady talked like a boss to customers all the time. And the blonde lady (probably the owner or the owner’s wife) walked from the Tatts corner joined her too to insult the customers. Worst place ever, if wasn’t the parcel sent to there I would never pay a visit to that Ghetto manner store

Very rude and entitled. Should have taken this business off them @AUSPOST, if they are running for you. VERY DISGRACEFUL. Refusing to service a client on face and being very ignorant as there appears to be no action to their reactions as I can judge from other reviews. I have never felt this angry while being out in public.

I don't know why the lady here is so angry/rude/hostile for no reason even if you're being super polite and asking for the most basic service when it isn't busy. I even thought maybe I look like I'm easy to pick on because I'm being nice(?) before reading about everyone else's similar experiences.Recently I was chastised for 'not filling in the customs form paper version' but I had already done so online and provided the lady with QR code. She didn't seem to know what she was doing so she let out her frustrations on me (going on about how it doesn't work), she purposely was handling my parcel roughly and before I left even threw my parcel across the room to make sure I could see how badly it was being treated.Avoid this place if you don't want your day ruined.

Great place magazines always in stocks a general store that has everything I need at great prices and staff is always kind and helpful.

I would agree with most of the customers regarding this LPO stating that staffs are rude, unhelpful, unfriendly etc. I was there around 2:15pm today, 2March 2023, to return a parcel that I have purchased. A lady tried to scan both the barcode and QR code in the Auspost label sent to me by email, but scan would not work so she asked the second lady at the counter to try. She too was unable to scan it. I said to key in the number as mentioned in the label but she said they can only scan. I was in a hurry so no point wasting my time there judging from their facial expression it would not have helped. Later that afternoon I went to Auspost in Mitcham. The lady was all smiles and she tried to scan the label but again would not work. I said to key in the number at bottom of label and she was more than happy to do that. Number was keyed in by her and out comes the label which she stuck on the return parcel. I have been to Doncaster East LPO about half a dozen times as parcels got diverted there and I have never had a pleasant visit.

If I could I wouldn’t even give this place a single star.The Filipino lady there is the rudest person I’ve ever encountered in customer service.I had 4-5 parcels to send, 1 of which was domestic and the rest were international parcels. I’ve sent many and never have I been asked to declare exactly how many of each item was inside my parcels - it wasn’t until later when I went to another post office near my old house, the staff member patiently explained the changes.However, at this LPO the Filipino lady said to me “If it comes back don’t come back and find me”, then later proceeded to ask why I didn’t want to declare it. Before I even understood her question, she snapped saying “…and don’t use your pregnancy as an excuse”. Not only was I shocked, I was disgusted that her colleague stood there unfazed that she said anything wrong.Not everyone knows the changes in policies or changes to procedures within different industries - it’s HER job to advise people - not push people against a wall and make them feel like they are the inconvenience.If she hates customer service then don’t work in the industry. I’m sure there are many other jobs out there that doesn’t require her to speak to another human being. Everyone has a bad day but I found it so contradicting to have posters around the LPO about disrespect towards staff will not be tolerated when there clearly is no mutual respect for customers. I didn’t need to be attacked and my unborn child to be a victim of her bullying.I really hope this lady get’s what she deserves and as far as I can see from all the reviews of this LPO she seems to be the main issue.
