Major Mitchell Caravan Park

Very roomy clean park very affordable we stayed 2 night witch is a great stop over to fule to grab some top up grocery's or just hang arose the sights

Brilliant park. Friendly, efficient management who go the extra mile to make everyone welcome. Short bridge walk to the artesian pools.

The owners are extremely friendly and obliging. We wanted a shady spot as it was so hot and he gave us a spot that was not a designated site. Has ensuites as well an amenities.

Major Mitchell Caravan Park is one of my favourite places to stay in SW QLD - Right on the river with fantastic amenities; only a short walk to the shops / local attractions and excellent customer service.

Good caravan park. Clean and tidy. Owners very helpful.

Caravan site not level for a drive thru site.Ensuite could be cleaner.Dirtiest mop provided.Site very clean with nice shrubbery.Birds very tame.Fire pit smoke blowing into vans, Location should away from van sites.Not good if asthmatic!

Stopped here overnight, and was told that ALL the Amenities Blocks were closed so could not use any of them. We were still charged for our overnight stay, and was also told in no uncertain terms many times that when we parked our van, not to encroach into any other neighbouring site, even though there was only about four other sites being used in the whole park. Can't understand how they are still allowed to open their caravan park and not open up any toilet/shower facilities. Had to go into town to access their Public Toilets. I also found the Lady in the front office/reception abrupt, and not welcoming at all. I would not recommend this Caravan Park, and we have stayed in many right throughout Australia in the last six years.

Love this place. We had a powered site. Great customer service, clean amenities, hot showers and amazing fire pit! Right next door to the artesian spa. You can’t do better!

Best caravan park ever, like staying with family (the kind you like).

Just spent one night at this lovely caravan park. Very well laid out with large drive thru sites complete with ensuite. Owner/Managers very nice and helpful. On the river with river walks. Walking distance to the Artesian Water Pool. Great spot.
