Posting on behalf of Caulfield South Community House. We've just joined forces with Bakers Delight, Elsternwick who are donating their unsold bread to a Community Lunch we hold on a monthly basis. This lunch is for people doing it tough (financial hardship or isolation) due to COVID. You should have seen the smiles on their faces when they went home with a loaf of bread, or bread rolls. We couldn't thank Bakers Delight, Elsternwick enough for their generosity and willingness to help. You guys are the best.

Really lovely staff at this particular Bakers Delights. I’ve been there a few times right before close and have seen them donating left over stock to what I assume are charities or community groups which is really nice to see.

I have always had very positive experiences at Bakers Delight. This morning I bought a couple of our families favourite's. Apple Walnut Log and Sea Salt Turkish bread straight out of the oven. Both delicious!

Avoid their knot rolls look more like flat pancakes , l gave them back!! and their low gi high fibre slice bread was sweaty in the bag returned that too!Shop was filthy!First and last time never again!!Disgraceful

Avoid the choc chip hot cross buns. I reckon I got max 3 choc chips in each bun. Dogged.

Unfortunately I was pretty unimpressed with my cheese scone (dominated by chives) and my apple lattice (strong custard flavour) though both were quite sizeable

Have just tried the new Apple and Cinnamon Fruit loaf toasted and buttered. Delicious.Got a sample from the bakery but will definitely be buying a loaf.

Through the pandemic and beyond - Bakeries like BD are a convenience option - Homogenous products and service, including the convenience of slicing your bread. For 2-3 years now this store has informed me the sandwich (thin) slicer is invariably broken or can’t cut dense bread. Complained to HQ complained to staff, no action. Try Brumbys in Orrong Road - Better range and their slicer works!

To the grumpy, rude lady behind the counter. I have repeatedly bought bread there and no problem with the product but have grown tired by the terrible attitude by the sour middle age lady behind the counter. Always too much trouble to slice the bread and makes you feel awful for even asking.
