Lake Lenthall Camping
decided to head to the nearest camp-site on or near water that good ol' Google suggested. Lake Lenthall was it.Mid week, mid autum-ish , what a perfect time to come sleep by the water's edge and paddle. The grounds are shmick, wheelchair and disabled access across the entire site, BBQ area up top, shower block and wide open grassy spaces.Restrooms are well designed and spacious; clean.Just note though that the showers are cold water only - I got my Wim Hoff on and it wasn't agonisingly terrible actually. No fires are permitted on the grounds. There are signs that state you can't swim here either. All these things might be negatives for some - but they become positives for those who wish themselves a very simple life of kayaking, fishing or just lazing about by the water's edge.It cost me under $12 to camp each night here. Paid at the Ranger's office. Eftpos available. The entire park also has excellent phone reception.

What a lovely spot. The grass is green with no bindies. Robert and his wife love the ride on keeping the grass lush. Very quiet and beautiful flat ground on the water front. Do not take the road from maryborough west (boundary road) as Google maps say as its an extra 20kms of not nice gravel road. Take the lake Lenthall turn off on the bruce highway just north of maryborough Showgrounds which only has 2 kms of gravel then the 9 kms of the other gravel turn off. It is a much easier drive with a van but is worth it if you want a peaceful quiet outlook.

Great camp ground and surrounding areas to explore, fishing, kayaking - no swimming and only limited camping allowed. Booking essential!

Very nice campground. Just a note about getting there. Take the ‘Top Road’ entrance off the highway. Do not attempt to follow Google Maps to take the ‘faster’ route from the north which will lead you to a farm gate telling you your Google Maps is wrong.

Camping area is beautiful. Very open with tables and lots of shade looking out over the water. Take Top Road (off Bruce Hwy) to get there though not the GPS directions.

What an amazing place to camp for a couple of days. So relaxing. Such a pity you can't use 2 stroke carby motors on your boat.

One of the more beautiful places I've had the pleasure to visit. The amenities were clean and very good for the location. Plenty of fun is also to be had at the scenic lake. Personally, I love kayaking and bird-watching there. Phone reception can be difficult there, but you can generally find a bar or two worth somewhere.

The most wonderful quiet location with lake frontage camping. A hidden jem, but 2 nights is just not long enough!
