Not only did I have a pleasant experience at this Hoyts cinema, but it also makes for a great option for families. Despite a minor delay in cleaning, which left a few seats slightly dirty, it didn't take away from the enjoyable experience, especially for families. i wouldnt usually write a bad review but last night was one of the worst experiences ive ever had. i went to hoyts lux" at chadstone and upon arrival i was told just take a seatin the waiting area and someone will come and take your order... we waited 30 minutes whilst everyone elses order had been taken and then it hit 9:15pm when our movie started at 9:10... so we walked up and ordered and got over it. so we said what time we wanted the food we ordered to come out and they said we get a complimentary popcorn and drink upon arrival into your cinema.everyone was already seated and had there drinks and popcorn when we went inside

Absolutely disgusted with Hoyts Chadstone cinema today.I would expect better from Hoyts as its said to be one of the best cinema in the country. I guess not when there’s worms crawling on your seat! The recliner also did not work! Disappointed!Also disappointed with the pop corn as it was so salty and gave me a bad headache.

It was an awesome experience. The seats are so comfortable. You will really enjoy watching a movie here.

Very nice theater and the seats are great. Reclining leather seats and Mt dew slushies. What is not to like?

We recently visited Hoyts Lux to see the new John Wick. We had never been to Lux before so we were incredibly eager to experience it. Although, an experience that is centred around viewing a movie in a luxurious environment, did not live up to the hype. The first 20 minutes of the film involved continuous disruptions; staff talking with patrons, and consistently walking up and down the aisles. I completely understand the nature of ordering items to your seat throughout the film, although even the free items (drinks and popcorn) had not been delivered to the seats until 15 minutes into the film. This experience felt incredibly disorganised, and resulted in us missing the start of the movie. Following this, throughout the movie patrons are provided with cutlery and plates for their food, which fills the small cinema with loud clanking and scraping noises. It baffles me that patrons don’t receive plastic forks or even plates (one thing that isn’t metal or porcelain) In such an intimate cinema, where sounds bounce off the walls. All in all, it was an incredibly disappointing experience and I personally wouldn’t waste my money again (particularly for others who are easily distracted as well). It was not worth more than double the money of an original ticket, and it evidently isn’t designed to enjoy a movie, but to receive food/ drinks whenever you please.

Always my go-to cinema, and I will complain if i’m made to go anywhere else. Located above the main shopping area of chadstone, theres a great self serve candy bar, as well as an actual bar a Ben and Jerrys for you to pick out some snacks before the movie. The theatres themselves are always clean, and the comfort of the reclining chairs is fantastic.Going into the Lux Lounge, which is above the main cinema area, you’ll be welcomed by fantastic and friendly staff, a quiet waiting area for you to order snacks and drinks to be either delivered to you at your seat, or to eat in the lounge while you wait.I personally prefer going to Lux when given the choice, as there is much more personal space at your seat, and having hot food being brought to you directly that you can place on a small table at your seat just doesn’t compare to anything else

Beautiful design, spacious, amazing ambiance. Lot of cenimas say 8 or more screenings at a time.Xreme screen : Sound quality and screen experience was good, seating was comfortable, you have electric bottons for seats to move seating positions, wide chairs, cup holders.Staff: Polite and helpful. Surprising factor, you pick your popcorn, drink and then go to counter to pay, they scan your rewards card, patiently wait to pay. Good experience.Vary spacious ticket counter, well designed layout for food stuff. Relaxed environment.Lacks clear seat markings to enter your seat lanes. But individual seat numbers are good.Will visit again....

Went to the movies last night, very cold night and I had to put up with cold air conditioning for 2hrs on a winter's night.Good one hoyts!!And trying to slug people $6.20 for a small bottle of water is disgusting.Never again.
