Uralla is full of surprises. Well worth a stop. Great history of the local area and the people within. Additional information about Captain Thunderbolt. Nicely put together over 2 floors. The collection of artwork hanging on the wall was wonderful. Country towns have so much to offer by way of history. Bushranges, Gold rush, sporting legends, families of note.

Great museum, very interesting. Beautiful exhibition of paintings telling the story of Thunderbolt's death. An exhibition of the Chinese influence in the gold fields. Treasures that were discovered in a box hidden behind a wall, the box saved the building from being demolished. And the story of our first famous sport's man.

Wow ..... what an interesting little museum this is..Steeped with history and a very surprising collection of local heroes in sporting, service men and women, and of course a very famous Bushranger.. It is absolutely worth the visit for the small token entry fee.URALLA is a very surprising town.Take the opportunity to stop in instead of passing through.

Interesting and quirky local museum. We particularly enjoyed the evolution of the cricket bat. It gave us a good giggle. The volunteers who were running it were friendly and welcoming. Well worth stopping off if you're in the area.
