Smart Cuts & Color

Assured the night before that they will be open, web site says open at 9am. Been waiting an hour. No hairdresser. No note on door, No phone message bank in any of their stores, no answer. 10am not open.

I have some great basic & affordable hair cuts here over the years & usually visit during the day. I am disappointed that I came all the way on transport only to find it was closed at 6.55 pm & the hours on the net mention 8 pm.

I went to the South Yarra salon, for a full head of foils, to go a cool blonde, I didn’t realise I had stepped back to 2005, I’ve got chunks of platinum blonde and yellow patches with what looks like a months regrowth, I called the salon to ask if I could come back in to have it fixed and she hung up on me. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Andrea is the most versatile hair stylist, let alone the most beautiful person I have met in a long time.Not only she suggested what’s best for my hair , also respected my opinion. Her cheerful and positive vibes are definitely bringing me back again soon:)

Was feeling under the weather and couldn’t afford the maxi prices for my hair to get some attention. It was hard for me to get my head around not making an appointment -but once I patiently waited I was looked after and the gentleman that cut my hair was sensitive and under-demanding. I left feeling like I was styled ..even though I was only charged $28 ..quickly I realised it was even less than the $35 I thought it would be. I couldn’t go there all the time, but if you need quick fix it was perfect.

We took our son here for his first professional haircut, he’s 3. We had to wait for a fair while, at least an hour, luckily I’m a well prepared parent. They have a special chair for kids and fun smocks and the hairdresser we had was attentive and seemed to care about how we wanted his haircut. It all went very well, I just would have liked a heads up about the long wait.

After years of having the same style I finally plucked up the courage to cut my long hair to medium length. Looked for weeks for a hair style. Found one I loved a concave cut, shorter at the back and long sides to hang over my shoulders. Showed Jenna the cut and worked out I wanted golden blonde highlights. I have wavy hair and mentioned many times i do not want it blow dried and that I usually avoid hairdressers as they always straighten it and cut it then it bounces up and is much shorter. She coloured my hair, cut the back then started blowdrying the sides to cut it. I asked her not to blow dry it and straighten it, she said she was just doing it a bit to get the cut right. I said but it will look different when i wash it and the curls bounce up. She continued. My long wavy hair is now a grey chin length Bob. Thanks for ruining my holiday. I am now going to shave it of and start all over. Why can't hair dressers just listen to you. I am absolutely gutted it looks rediculous. Absolutely nothing like the photo i showed her. Cried for a whole day and still can't look in mirror without crying.
