Port Elliot Bakery

Insanely good bakery. I love trying the pie of the month. Last time I was in Australia was 2019 and I’ve thought about their chicken, Camembert cheese, and cranberry sauce pie quite often since then. Hope it comes back! Pricier than other bakeries.

Overrated Bakery, Pies and sausage rolls are no different from other bakeries. There are no signs to say what pie is what and when asked the worker she got quite annoyed and pointed to the sign and said there but still didn't show us what pie was what. My partner got the Pie of the month which was a cheeseburger which was pretty average and the pastry was undercooked. I got a curry steak and it was alright.We got the doughnut of the month which was apple crumble, they were nice and the only reason I'm giving 3 stars. Not worth the drive from Adelaide.

What an amazing place. This is one of the best bakeries I have tried in South Australia. Freshly baked every day. If I lived in Port Elliot, I would be here every morning. The bread is so soft, and the fillings were so delicious. The line is usually very long, but it's definitely worth the wait and i would 100% recommend this place.

An institution down south. The drive to Port Elliot is not complete without a stop at the Port Elliot Bakery for the donut of the month. Always something interesting and a great treat. Have a good bakery range on top of the rotating pie and donut of the month range.

Wow. The perpetual queue outside this place says it all. So many make claims to having the best pies in the world" but PEB may go closer than most to backing it up. We visited Port Elliot on a stunning autumn day last Monday which also happened to be my birthday so we were looking for a nice lunch option after a very enjoyable swim at Horseshoe Bay. Most of the local pub and brasserie options were lovely but also very $$$. My girlfriend saw the queue outside the bakery and decided this place is the bomb. She was right and we sampled a good selection. Best were the Kelly Pie and Donut of the Week."

3.3* got the steak, bacon and cheese pie as well as curry pie. Steak in both was a bit dry and hardly any gravy in the curry pie! I'm comparing this to NZ pies so that might be why!

Amazing Bakery! An absolute MUST to visit if you've never been! The donut of the month is always spectacular and cannot be missed! The same can be said about the pie of the month too! The hot chocolate popped off :D

Biggest queue I've ever waited in for a bakery but I understood once we were eating. I got the monthly specials of the chicken satay pie and caramilk marble donut and they were both excellent. Worth a trip here if you're staying anywhere in the area.Update: not every donut of the month are created equal. Just tried the Feb 2023 and it was the weakest we've tried. Lacking flavour and creativity.
