Have been inspired by Professor Shane for over a decade. Thoroughly impressed with the level of instruction and support provided by Shane and the team. The academy is clean, well equipped and the atmosphere is welcoming and inclusive. The techniques and drills are taught in a clear and concise manner, making it easy to learn and improve on. I highly recommend Galeb Brothers Helensvale for anyone looking to learn BJJ or improve their fitness in a positive and encouraging environment.

I've been a member of Galeb brother BJJ Helensvale for the past 6 months now and I highly recommend trying this club out. It caters for everyone from kids, females, beginners, advanced and has a great selection of NO Gi Classes. For some approaching 40 years old I was doubting myself in trying BJJ but the coach and team here are so supportive and love seeing there students progress. I'm glad I signed up, all higher belts are very supportive to beginners the club has good culture all round.

From doing martial arts when I was younger there is certain things I came to look for when finding instructors to train me especially after not training for many years. Galeb Brothers Helensvale ticked all the boxes. Not just the instructors, the whole team. Fun, clean, respectful, helpful but most of all no egos at all. This made it easy giving me confidence to train here with my 7yo son. After training for the last 19 months the academy has become more of a family than just a place to train, and everyone is willing to help on or off the mats.Hundred percent recommend this academy. Build confidence, fitness, self-defence and self esteem in a fun safe environment.

Best Jujitsu club on the Gold Coast by far, highly recommend, awesome coaches who are skilled, dedicated and love what they do. Sons been training since the Helensvale club first opened in Jan 2019 and still loves it, the support he receives in class and at competitions is amazing, his coaches are always there for him and have never missed a comp!

This is as top tier as a gym gets. It is very rare that you find a gym that can cater to a high level of coaching for adults with support at competitions at every level, while also providing a second to none family atmosphere with a focus on kids and women’s classes. Shane is a truely unique professor and head of the gym in this way. I highly recommend this gym if you are looking to add Jiu Jitsu to your life as a way of bettering yourself and meeting some amazing people, and if you are a family that wants to train in the same place Galeb Brothers Helensvale is a great option.

I couldn’t say more positive things about this establishment. We have had our son here for almost 2 years and have appreciated the family oriented environment, the supportive guidance from professor Shane and the wide range of classes available for kids. I definitely see myself joining once my lifestyle aligns and I cannot wait! Seeing my son’s growth within the sport and himself is so rewarding.
