The sick bay is useless. I've had a staff member call me saying my child was OK, turns out my child was really sick waiting for me to pick them up. The teachers also act really kind towards me, and the opposite to the student

ABOUT OUR SCHOOLEschol Park Public School has provided a quality education for all its students since 1985.We focus on the whole child, academically, socially and emotionally. Our school purpose is to provide the best quality teaching and learning practice to ensure every student achieves success and fulfils his or her potential as a learner. A caring, safe, yet flexible learning environment with a focus on individual needs helps achieve this goal.We are an inclusive school and successfully meet the varied needs of all our students. Our experienced teachers are committed to quality teaching and creating opportunities which allow our students to learn and reach their potential.Thirty-three per cent of the student population is from a language background other than English. Twenty-seven different languages are represented at the school. Five per cent of the school's population is from Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander backgrounds. We are a modern and well-resourced school with state-of-the-art technology including Interactive Whiteboards in every classroom, a large computer lab and video conferencing facilities. The school hall and large Council sporting fields which adjoin the school provide a resource which is well used by the school and its community.Along with a strong emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy, we offer a wide range of programs and activities designed to equip students with the skills to participate in an increasingly complex society. These include the school's public speaking program, choir, dance and drama programs, senior students CPR training, fitness programs to promote an active lifestyle, leadership programs through the School Parliament and the annual camping programs for Stage 2 and Stage 3 students. The school participates in the Premier's Sporting Challenge, Premier's Reading Challenge, Premier's Spelling Bee and area public speaking and multicultural oracy competitions. Sport is an integral part of school life at Eschol Park Public School. We pride ourselves on our extensive transition programs which provide the best start to Kindergarten and High School. The school has an active P&C Association which works towards the betterment of the school, students' learning and school image. We work closely with our parents and carers and value their interaction so that we can successfully identify all students’ learning needs. Their involvement in our school is highly valued and supported. Our school motto is : Truth, Quality, Care.

Nothing has changed in almost forty years. EPPS opened in 1985, I was in Kindy in 1986.Mr McConville was the kindest principal. The library still has the exact same light fixtures and felt so big to tiny me.Seeing it as a forty one year old woman it feels tiny but it was amazing to remember through five year olds eyes.I am still traumatised by all the dead birds in the mesh over the corridors.

This school deserves 10 stars, I have never walked into a school and felt so much love and passion for children than this school. All the staff are amazing and caring and I just feel so lucky my son is there.
