Shane and Catherine at Malibu have been nothing but a pleasure to deal with. Building a pool is both costly and timely, but our experience was enjoyable as their customer service and support throughout the build gave us piece of mind.Shane’s expertise and contacts within the industry made getting things done on schedule a breeze.Catherine’s friendly and patient customer service went above and beyond our expectations.They always answered our calls and worked with us on making sure we were happy with the end product.We are so happy with our pool and the quality of the finishes and would highly recommend Malibu if you are considering a custom concrete pool.

Buying a luxury item such as pool should be a joyous experience.Steve was very professional and well presents at the start and even came recommended.Malibu and Steve in particulars communication skills are awful, no responsibility, bordering aggressive and certainly rude, even hung the phone up on me on one occasion. This simply leads to more frustrated customers which by looks of the other reviews is apparent I’m not alone in these thoughts.Pool was over excavated and shotcrete was completed incorrectly, Steve did come back to correct it to his justice but we never saw him again after that and only had his apprentices come to site.Pool was finished close for the estimated time with lots of unnecessary chasing.Overall I’d rather of not had a pool than have it installed by Steve, a poor experience all round and now we are having troubles with the INSRG chlorination system I can only see me having to deal with that with my own money and time.Choose anybody else.

We signed a contract with Malibu Pools in mid-2021. Demo/ excavation to be done in December. This was delayed and in February 2022 they gave us an update claiming the DA was taking time.After numerous emails and phone calls we received an email saying they were breaking the contract. As the DA had been submitted we requested the drawings. Despite requests for these drawings we have been stonewalled with no explanation, having lost over a year while waiting for progress. We’re now back where we started without a pool.

Malibu Pools just finished a pool for my wife and I in Cannon Hill. I am extremely happy with the pool, its exactly what we wanted. Gary and his team did a fantastic job. The project took 6 weeks from start to finish and the outcome is fantastic. Communication was maintained throughout the project and we were kept well informed at each step. We had a pool built by Malibu, and I must say I would definitely not recommend this company.We’ve had many issues and they never respond and when they do respond it’s always rude.Our pool had a massive area where the grout was the wrong colour and they refused to fix it. It took a lot of time - over a year to get them out here to finally fix the problem- that too very reluctantly!Pool lights have never worked properly!We have been advised that the pool filter and some other equipment is mismatched.Which is another big expense.Of course contacting Malibu is futile, so we are having to spend more money on this issue!All in all…if we had our time again I would go with any other company.
