Golden Star- Fish & Chips
Was looking for a good local fish & chip shop and I certainly found it! My main item I look for is beef croquettes!! My comfort food! And they have them!! And do them so well!! We also ordered a burger which was beyond amazing and the chips were perfection and the onion rings were humongous!!! Pricing is good too. The staff there are the loveliest friendliest people which just makes the whole thing even better!! Highly recommend and we are even coming back and second night in a row because my son now wants some!

You’ll never find potato cakes this good, I promise! I’m a regular customer of some years and this is the only fish and chip shop that takes me back to my childhood fish and chips which were the best. Great service, always quick, always give generous helpings and even sometimes extra which is so sweet. Tonight I ordered 2 potato cakes and I got 4! I never expect it but it’s always heart warming. Thanks guys

Ordered by phone, excellent phone manner and great at taking big orders. The food was great, generous helpings, well cooked and not too oily for fish and chips standard. Calamari was the stand out for me, as it tasted fresh and decent proportion. My only tip to others is to ask for chicken salt or other garnishes as they do not offer/prompt when ordering.

Ordered via Uber eats and wasn’t disappointed! Chips were crispy with a fluffy inside, and snapper was cooked just right, nice flakey consistency, good little fish n chip shop!

Update: Haven't been here for a while and it was a good as ever. Golden crispy chips and a nice thick moist piece of fish. Friendly service.2 yrs ago: They are now taking card or cash. Fish was good size and very tasty.
