Worst experience. Entry order was forgotten. Waited too long for mains to come. Presentation of food was terrible and so the taste. Not recommended at all.Our last day of family trip to Hobart ended with unpleasant dining experience.

If you want to try the authentic North Indian taste, then I would recommend that Taj Palace is the best option in North Hobart and the neighbourhood. The mixed vegetables, Chicken karahi and naan were really yummy and well cooked. Finally, tried their Lamb Biryani which is fully loaded with rice and meat and taste just awesome. The hospitality of an Indian uncle will make you feel that you are somewhere in India.

The food was sooo good. The balances of spices and flavours were beautiful, the chicken was moist and the beef was tender. All the sauces were perfect. The cheese and garlic naan was unafraid to be a Cheese And Garlic naan - unlike other places. The service wasn't great though.

My dear husband and I dined at Taj Palace last night, and I would sum up the food as exceptional. The food was cooked to perfection. The spices are fresh and aromatic. It has been a family restaurant since 2005; husband runs the front restaurant and wife is the head cook in the back. They both work so hard. As you dine, you will see family and food intertwine. Their kids are young so you will hear them around the restaurant. But that just adds to the experience. Life is beautiful, and you will see it when you come to this special restaurant. Enjoy!

We had dine in twice, The food was good, home like feeling, Chicken tikka masala and palak paneer was the best, veg. Biryani was bit oily.The place could attract more customers if the decor is bit changed to modern way and more presentable and the customees will be able to get goodambience along with delicious food.I would love to visit again and recommend to enjoy the excellent curries.
