Silver Service Dry Cleaners

Really rude service , they wanted to close 10 min early so didn’t want to give me my shirt back . Incredibly expensive and then when I got home looking at my blouse realized they had ruined it with stains all over .

Took a long time to get my drycleaning back - longer than the indicated timeframe. Tried to get me to come back to the store to sign a form that I was not asked to sign when I was in the store. Said that consent to this form over the phone was fine, then later suggested that this (amongst other excuses) was a cause of delay. I had to have a number of detailed conversations with the manager. I would expect a higher level of service for the price.

I have gone here twice now. First time I needed my shirt professionally wet cleaned as this was one of the few places that offered that service. Had a coffee stain and they told me before washing if I was sure I wanted it wet cleaned as the colour could run. I decided to stick with the wet clean but was very grateful and appreciated they informed me and gave me the option of how I wanted it cleaned. And beautifully the stain came out with no issues! Then I got my other shirt cleaned here as it looked like the colour faded. They then decided to potentially do a double clean to ensure that it was properly done and isn’t a colour issue. After pickup the shirt looked brand new and I was so happy. This place has 100% become my go-to dry cleaners!

DO NOT take your clothes here. Took my $280 dress for a dry clean because I had worn it a couple of times and wanted it refreshed for a wedding. It did not have any visible stains on it. Got it back with a mark in the middle of the dress, it looks like the fabric has been pulled/scraped. They refused a refund and claimed that the damaged fabric was a stain" that they could not get out. Insisted that the owner of the store had to see dress before a decision was made about a $25 refund??? Never mind that my expensive dress is now ruined.Absolutely ridiculous treatment

The staff (in shop) are very nice and helpful, however, the Manager/Owner (Vivian Samaha) is one of the most unprofessional people I've had the displeasure of dealing with. The first item I brought in for a simple stitching of the hem has to be returned 3 times and it was still not completed well. The second item I brought in (in hindsight I shouldn’t have) was taking up a hem for a pair of trousers. The trousers were returned with the hem/ length completely uneven. The shop staff agreed took photos and suggested I speak directly with the tailor on the phone (they send garments off-site). The tailor advised that me if she fixed the hem a second time it would become my responsibility if it was incorrect. Why would it be my responsibility as a customer?? So I decided not to return the trousers for a second time and took them elsewhere. They are now properly tailored for $40. I requested a refund of $25 from Silver Service (the shop staff advised this business NEVER refund and suggested I email the owner) via email and I was advised by Vivian: “Your trousers were never a straight forward shortening given their original shape. You actually should have been charged more for the complexity involved than a regular hem. The tailor was willing and able to attend to the issues concerning you. You chose to not have this done. Unfortunately you are not entitled to a refund in this instance.” I have lodged a complaint with ACCC and Dept of Fair Trading to investigate PURELY because I have read all of the negative comments here and can see this is a reoccurring issue with very bad business practices. I would HIGHLY recommend NOT engaging with this business.

I haven’t used the dry cleaning service but have used their tailoring service- I won’t be using it again after the terrible experience I had.I took two items in: One top was relatively straight forward, just needed it made shorter - the final result was a sloppy hemline that’s incredibly uneven (the original top had a slight curve but the tailors cut it straight!) the top is a light silk fabric but they created a thick seam which has resulted in a puckering hemline...The second top needed a hole repaired - it’s made of delicate wool flannel material that I specifically requested for it to be repaired by hand - they machine stitched it (with a black thread on a blue shirt!) which resulted in several new holes. The top was sent back several time to be re-repaired and then reassessed - the manager took two weeks to get in contact to discuss the problem.When she finally did get in contact, after I followed up on the tops status three times, she blamed me for the bad results saying her tailors can’t do what I requested. From my side, this whole terrible experience could have been a quick phone call from the tailors saying they can’t repair it and I would have picked up the top and taken it somewhere else to be repaired.Resolution: The manager refunded me the cost of the repair which was $25.I would possibly use them again for really basic things like stitching a button or taking up a jeans hem.

I've been using Silver Service Dry cleaners at Barangaroo so far 3 times. They've never damaged my clothes, they seem to be handling them with care, however I also cannot say they dry clean very well. Most of the times stains do not come off (even minor stains - stay exactly as they where, as if untouched). I will most likely use their services again if I have clothes that do not have stains but need to be just refreshed.

Easy location, very happy with their services for my birthday dress, I forgot that the store wasn't open on the weekend and dealt with Vivian who went above and beyond for me to get my dress for my birthday festivities. Extremely thankful for the team at Silver Service, highly recommend.

My friend has just shared a horrible story where she was charged $600 for dry cleaning a dress that wasn’t actually cleaned and took 7 weeks! This place should be shut down!

Absolutely appalling service. My same day service did not happen despite being assured they would be ready. I was given 3 additional times that my clothes would be returned and ultimately did not turn up until 3pm the following day after I had already boarded my international flights for which I needed the clothes. I was given some story about the clothes needing more attention as they were light colours despite one being a dark burgundy jacket.When I got them back the jacket lappels were unpressed and floppy, there were marks not originally on the garments and snags in the fabric. They ruined a 3 week old $300 jacket, a 1 week old $300 jacket and stained a 1 week old white silk top. Absolutely appalling service and will not be returning. I have told my friends and collegues to avoid at all costs.In Response to the owner below...Understand that things take longer to clean, this should have been said upon drop off when requesting same day service rather than assuring they would be back. I would have made other arrangements.How and when I wear my garments is absolutely not your place to comment. I am aware of stains that were on them and have not complained that they were not removed aas I understand the limitations (which I also said to the girl when I dropped it off) but rather that the garments came back with NEW stains and faults.Perhaps you should take better care of the garments in your possesion that dont belong to you and not blame others for your mistakes.I am not at all surprised by your juvenile and unprofessional response or by the fact that you have taken no responsibility for, or even acknowledged, the damage you have done to my garments.
