I came here as I believed I had a problem with the transmission. This mechanic used an app in ipad to diagonal the problems. Of course, there would be a lot of problems. His point was to make his customer worried so he had to fix a lot of things and then ripped his customer off.I couldn't believe that at his age (over 65 I guess) he is still greedy with making money.

Danny & Nick have been working along side each other over 25 years, they saved me half the money the dealer quoted me on my ford ranger gearbox, i have been sending all my vehicles to them over 7 years now, very honest reliable people you can count on!

Brought an old Merc W140 down here for a full automatic flush and throttle/linkage adjustment. They also did a diff oil change for me as well.My car was having some problems with shifting up and down, and they spent the day getting it right. When I drove the car home, I had a smile on my face all the way.What I like about the guys here is that they took the time to give me a call to ask me some questions about what some of the issues I was finding to help them with their diagnostics.They are great to talk to, friendly, and knowledgeable.The old saying goes, you get what you pay for, and I can't recommend these guys highly enough.If you got transmission problems, or just want a service, bring your car here. 5 star service!

Great service,nick is a honest man and rebuilt my transmission,informed me and showed me all my old faulty parts and new parts that he replaced,he even took a video of the old leaking part in my transmission that he found leaking under pressure.I'm sure most transmission places would not have picked that up.His price was also much better then the other quotes i got from different places which also had a 3 week waiting period.It was done in 3 working days,full rebuild and new TCM and software installed.

Can't recommend Dan enough. Run not walk to him when you're in peril.Recently moved from Melbourne and when my car broke down, I knew I was in peril. Got a quotation from the 1st mechanic and I was keen as to get my car fixed asap however on mum's advice, I begrudgingly seeked for a second quotation. Literally google-stumbled upon them, then Dan and his mates physically brought the car 71m (thanks google) to his premises. After conducting a diagnostics, Dan diagnosed that one of the main issue was the transmission and based on the Ford transmission recall, there would be no charge and Dan was certain I could cut the costs by a grand! With my heart in my mouth, I decided to go with my gut and allow Dan to liase with Ford to ensure my car would be fixed at a reasonable price while not getting ripped off. Suffice to say, instead of the $3000 I was quoted by the first mechanic, I paid a third of the amount through Dan instead. If you're like me, a girl who recently moved out of home for work and knows nothing about the car other than driving it, Dan should sort your (car related only soz) issues out.TLDR; Dan was honest and transparent from the get go, and could've ripped me off but instead saved me a buttload of money by sending the car back to Ford.

Fantastic work completed, plenty of communication during rebuild. Gave the option of new or 2nd hand parts where possible. Even sent pictures of progress.

Dantrans was recommended to me by several other people. I thought old fashioned mechanics were history. These guys have to be one of the most honest upfront and helpful people I have dealt with in my 50 years. Could not recommend them enough. If you have transmission issues and you need a specialist with decades of experience and honesty - these are your guys. It’s a father and son business. Thank you Danny - life saver.
