Family owned operation and friendly attentive service. Fish are on display, fresh and tasty. Also you can tell the oils are changed as the products reflect this, no shortcuts taken. Chips could be hotter and be more seasoned but the latter is subjective. Will make this our go to F&C shop!

Food is fantastic, clean not greasy and the people who run it areBeautiful, understanding, warm and lovely people. Would highly recommend this local place for fish and chips. You feel the food is made with love.

Got 2 x pier packs. Everything in them was cooked beautifully. Batter was light on the fish and everything was fresh and tasty. Will be back for sure.

The best. I walked past this place and decided to drop in, I ordered some prawns, scallops, whiting, chips and salad. The food was amazing, the best fish and chips I've ever had in Australia. Genuinely fresh seafood and cooked perfectly so still juicy, crisp light batter, not oily. I've just returned from a food tour of Japan, and I'm fussy about food; this place really is all that. The chef was by himself and busy, but he still cooked my whiting and everything else perfectly. Note how all the negative reviews are whining about menulog or ubereats or eftpos or some Karen problem - the food is always 5/5.

This grilled fish and chips was absolutely delicious. The portion size is quite large and good enough for two adults small eaters.I'll definitely be back.

Fish is the best thing about the place - must get!The flesh is soft, juicy and the appropriate colour. The batter is so incredibly light and CRUNCHY! $12.50 for flake, chips, potato cake and dim sim. Standard pricing and far better than most other places!GLUTEN INTOLERANT, I am but I found with this very thin batter I did not feel unwell in the slightest afterwards.While some people on here are comparing Fins to Blu (which is both the number 1 fish and chip place in Melbourne and DOUBLE the price), Fin really does stand out as having GREAT fish. The best I've had in ANY takeaway place for a 15km radius, minus Blu which we should keep in minus is a whole freaking massive restaurant. So I think comparing this place to Blu is insane.Chips are good.Potato cake and dim sim is the same as anywhere else so only get if you like them.

0n 27.9.2022 I ordered barramundi fish for take away. Loved the batter. It was deliciously cooked by a man with short black hair and he came out of his shop to pass to me my food as I was waiting outside. The fish and salad were all very fresh and yummy! The potato chips was a generous portion and I cannot finish it. I will definitely be back to try other menu too! This is my second visit and not disappointed.

If there is somewhere selling better cooked seafood in Melbourne, I've yet to find it. I've caught and cooked my own fish for decades, so I'm super fussy, but never disappointed by this place. Succulent, fresh, delicate flathead fillets in a light crispy batter. Doesn't get any better. Prawns are amazing,Lovely family run business, too.
