Great place to climb, very steep in some areas and slightly slippery.The view us well worth the climb.

Beautiful spot in the middle of the Riverina wheat belt. The Rock and a small range jut out of comparatively flat surrounding country side.Any road car can access the parking area, no 4WD needed here.Covered BBQ facilities are supplied and although I did not use them they appeared to be clean and tidy.There are two routes from the parking /BBQ area to the peak of The Rock. The new path that leads up to the right is quite challenging as it climbs quickly from the outset. Rock scrambling with your hands coming into play is fun but you need a certain level of dexterity to make the climb easier.That older route up is more level for most of the walk, before you start to zigzag up to the face, where the climb really steepens up.The effort to make it to the top is very rewarding. On a clear day you can see for miles and during the crop growing season from May to October the scene is awe inspiring with the patchwork of paddocks laid out before you, stretching into the distant horizon.
