Well worth the stop. Very convenient exit and re-entry points off the Highway. Breakfast made exactly as requested, and the shop has a quirky nostalgic feel. More than likely stop here again rather than resorting to generic and limited Fuel Station food.

Just tried Rosie's Cafe at Johns River for the first time today for lunch. It’s about a half hour drive south of Port Macquarie but the trip is worth it. Ordered Thai beef salad and fessenjoon (Persian style lamb meatballs). Delicious. The servings are large but very satisfying. I wanted to stay longer as it had a quiet ambience. Definitely going back for more as it has a gallery and gift shop inside plus some plants outside for sale.

It’s a cold soulless drive on the M1 with all the towns bypassed now. This cafe was a good oasis for a much needed coffee and pie.Plenty of space, good coffee. Warm pies

Nice little cafe in a lovely little community. Just off the freeway, great coffee, friendly staff and clean fresh surrounds. Groovy art for sale and old school decor with lots of eclectic tables and chairs. Great stop, way better than the big chains and it's a nice alternative.

What a gem of a place! We ordered the fessen joon (special, Persian meatballs) and fish & chips. How delicious! The serving size is very generous and the food is very tasty. We are so happy we stopped here for lunch instead of Port Macquarie. It's also a dog friendly place (outside). I found that everyone was very accommodating and lovely as well!

Had the yummiest warm scones with homemade jams and whipped butter at Rosie’s Cafe! Worth the slight detour from the highway as you head south.

It’s easy to agree with the claim “best coffee on the coast.” It has a strong, rich flavor. The macaroni and cheese was very cheesy and filling. High quality food is served here for a reasonable price and quaint atmosphere. Very impressed!

Recommended stop off between Coffs and Sydney! It's about halfway and is easily accessible, barely a detour. No petrol in the town though, but there is some down the road.Brilliant little cafe. Great coffees, food and service. Inexpensive too, and they sell a heap of knick knacks and sweets besides their menu. Also a gift shop attached.Definitely recommend stopping for a rest here!

OMG the lady was so rude at the counter. We came in with intention of buying lunch. But my son really needed to use the bathroom.I asked where is the bathroom. She said it’s strictly for customers only. I said well we are about to become customers but you are about to have an accident on the floor of your restaurants, she then reluctantly proceeded to show us the bathroom. We ordered food, fish and chips was nice and fresh but the chicken schnitzel burger the bread was old stale and dry.The place is over priced a schnitzel burger and a fish and chips should not cost you $39.Additionally charging $0.50 card surcharge. It’s a beautiful old store with awesome collection of items could be a nice little stop for travellers however customer service, food quality and pricing needs to be really looked into.
