Long queues outside for lunch on a humid Sunday recently made it look very promising. Had to return much later to get in as this place has no booking policy. I had savoury scrambled eggs which looked nice but served on white bread & bland. I had to spit out eggshells (which can be excused if it was tasty). Others at our table did not think what they had was flavoursome except for the caesar salad. Staff were lacklustre in their service - perhaps the crowds & humidity got to everyone. Nice lower level outdoor area. Good to combine the visit with the Art & Carft Sunday market nearby after.

If you want fast food that has flavour go to subway down the road. It was just a fast food Cafe, so disappointing as we had been couple times b4 covid. The fries warm soft out of a packet, the Rubin was the worst I have ever had ,cheap supermarket bread , jar krut, the silver side tasteless, chick schnitzel, bland, bun supermarket cheap ,the toastie cheese had the cardboard sliced cheese again cheap supermarket Rubbish. What a waste of good money $54..

Very friendly staff, great venue inside and outside, good retro music, warm fire when I was there. The mud cake is a generous portion and rich. Everything you want with a lovely coffee

Perhaps I just went on a bad day but the coffee was barely lukewarm and the muffin black and burnt on the sides and bottom! Quality control needed! Call me old fashioned but I’d love a cafe that provided quality seating, not an old school chair from my childhood.

Place has taken a nose dive.With breakfast yhey charge for a slice of white toast. If you ask for Turkish bread you get 1 slice untoasted.Eggs arrive cold, with egg shell on them.No points for presentstion: just dumped on a plate.

Went for breakfast with some mates, dined in and they had table service. Had regular, vegetarian and vegan big breakfast options. The big breakfasts didn’t come with toast. Decent prices with friendly staff

Loved the food with a lovely ambience of their dining experience. Been here twice with friends, we've all loved it - Dined inside and outside on another occasion. Beautiful tasty food, nice sized servings and not expensive. Staff very friendly... Seems to get busy around main eating times. Definitely a must visit if passing through Castlemaine. THANKS for a relaxing dining experience!!

Was wet and busy. Was greater quickly at the door. Was politely told a 10 min wait for table. 3 minutes later the had fitted us in. Coffee was quick and hot. Food was great. Lovely atmosphere with all the band poster on the wall. I had see most of the amazing bands so made it even better.

Fantastic hearty Sunday brunch. Great coffee and excellent service! The locals were friendly and the portions generous!
