Vermont South Health Care Clinic - Dr. Jigau Constantin

Both myself and my husband are so lucky that we have a very professional and caring DR.We have been seeing DR Jigau for well over thirty years.We travel from Phillip Island to see him.

Hours needs to be updated! The hours on the business card he still gives out reflects those on Google Maps, but if you call after 4 p.m. a voice message states that hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday; Saturday he's closed and Sunday he's open by appointment only between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. If you turn up to make an appointment after 4 p.m. he's closed too and there's no sign on the door with the updated hours either. So can you please correct this clinic staff. Thanks.

Dr Jigau is no doubt one of the best doctors around. His medical knowledge are outstanding. He shows care and has clear and effectivecommunication, a really special human being he is. I feel respected when I see him and and it's very obvious that he and his staff are positive, friendly, attentive, empathetic and helpful.

One of the best doctors I have ever been to. My daughter had to see him this morning and his patience and care he had for her was of the highest level. Every issue I have had, Dr Jigau has been able to diagnose spot on, even after other GP’s have told me otherwise. Have 100% trust in him and now my whole family see him. He’s the best!!!!!

The worst clinic I have ever been to. On 3 different occasions when I arrive for my appointment on time I had to wait over an hour to see the doctor. The worst one was almost 2 whole hours! This has never happened to me before at any clinic.Not to mention the fact that Dr. Jigau picked up his personal mobile phone numerous times during our first appointment and did not even excuse himself while we were in the middle of a conversation. We also had some random staff just walk in while we were talking and they didn't even knock. I thought I'd give him and his clinic a second chance, but the exactly the same thing happened for the next two appointments.Additionally I don't think the doctor knows what he was talking about as he gave me some very strange advice about my problem and it definitely was not based from a point of view of an educated professional.This clinic and the doctor are completely unprofessional and have absolutely no respect for people, nor their time. I will never visit this clinic again and I strongly advise everybody to consider another one.Also ignore these other google reviews, they are fake!

I've been attending Dr Jigau's clinic on and off for the best part of 10 years now and have to say that it'd be very difficult if not impossible to find a more caring and understanding doctor around. He cares about his patients enough to listen to their problems, and in my experience, he's quite thorough and will send you to perform whatever tests are needed in order to get to the bottom of what is causing issues as opposed to just treating the symptoms.Highly recommended and hope he doesn't retire any time soon! Bonus is that it's a bulk-billing clinic - hence the longer wait times (it can get busy).

I have been seeing Dr Jigau now for in excess of 20 years. I can't find anyone who beats his professionalism and interaction with Patients. His staff abide by privacy and always knock before entering in-case a patient is being examined. I would trust Dr. Jigau with my life and that of my wife and children.I read J's" comments below and am dumbfounded over how critical someone can be

I have been seeing Dr Costel Jigau for almost 30 years, with a the odd visit to other doctors due to my residential situation, and always gravitate back to him. Many things have changed in this world , but one thing that is certain and constant is Dr Jigau's professionalism, ethics and morality. If you've seen other doctors, make Dr Jigau your second opinion, if you see him, you won't need a second opinion.A rare professional and compassionate person , in this day and age.To say the least, I am screwed when he retires!

Sad reading the very few 1 star comments. While I have never experienced this, there is a reason there is a long wait and why some times they can't take on any new patients. Because he's competent, patient and fabulous!! I have been to many doctors but none that cared like he does. After years for misdiagnosis, in two minutes (of me rambling) he was able to provide much needed closure and diagnosis. I have so much trust in his professional opinion, he's so knowledgeable, understanding and respectful!!!I'm so grateful to have a forever family doctor!*not a fake review @J
